I had a good time playing this Solo, but agreed not as crunchy as far as options like dnd. but not a lite rpg either. Its very good middle complexity game which makes it more ideal for soloing in my opinion as there's not too much to remember. The random monsters attack rolls give you a taste of the unknown in combat and that helps keep things exciting. Thanks for the video!

Could not agree more. Even after some time away from it, I require a very brief refresher and I’m good to go. Rolling under is really smooth. The monster actions are one of my favorite parts of the system.

It’s smooth because it’s not scaling like DnD 5e.

I will ckeck it out. Just backordered Shadow Dark and there's a free Solo Dark pdf. Haven't had a chance to do anything with it. But yeah love the box sets. Pathfinder 2e basic box set is sick.

Theyre such a great value in most cases if you’re the type to really dive into the system. I’m doing it less and less but I have no regrets with Dragonbane, especially on the solo side.

Are the tools and rules applicable to other Dragonbane adventures or does it only play through this supplement? I would be interested in playing the rest of them too if they fit solo.

Using the Adventures book for reference, you can but it will not be as smooth of an experience. There are portions that are for GM’s eyes only and there are some set enemies that may be challenging for a single character. With that said, anything can be solo’d it’s just a matter of how much work will be required to make it work. The system is smooth enough that it shouldn’t be too bad. You would just have to accept that you will know too much OR make spontaneous changes to the adventure AND that some challenges will be too much for a single character by default so modify them or change the stakes of the encounter to affect the story more than your hit points.

@@Sacred_Art_of_Gaming I agree. I played the RIDDERMOUND adventure solo. I was reading the entry of each of the locations as I was playing (in essence discovering the area together with my character) and I halved all armor and HP of the enemies. I enjoyed it! I did die in the end, by the way, just as I was trying to leave the tomb. 😬
