9 Deaths of the Ninja may not have spawned any official toys, BUT... Those were also the days when we would go outside and "play guns" until our parents called us inside for the third time. My older brother was quite taken by the scene in that movie (I was the ninja fan) where the blond guy says "Gimme the Dancer." and gets handed this big cylindrically encased gatling gun with a shoulder sling. He made one out of 4" PVC pipe, and no matter what story we were actually playing out, we always had to do that 9DOTN scene where he said, "Gimme the Dancer!"

I have been following retroblasting for a while now and have thoroughly enjoyed the videos and restoration projects. But after watching this presentation I realised just how knowledgeable and passionate Michael is about everything he does. I knew nothing about 80's Ninjas so I enjoyed the content and now feel well educated on the subject. He is an awesome speaker and his journalism background clearly shows in all of their videos. I think this sets them apart from all the rest and that's why I will be subscribing. Keep up the good work guys!!!

So happy to see this...AWESOME job! G.I. Indeed, ninjas put their stamp on our generation's culture growing up, and yeah, I remember buying some of those magazines too, ha... #BlastOn

MICHEAL, THIS WAS A GREAT ANALYSIS ON 80'S NINJAS ....... HOWEVER THERE IS ONE THING THAT SNAKEEYES , STORM SHADOW AND KASOGI CANT DO. A TRUE SHINOBI MASTER IN MY OPINION IS ABLE TO RENDER HIS OR HERSELF COMPLETELY INVISIBLE. SHINOBI = THE ONE WHO HIDES

They're right. You should team up with James Eatock, who runs the official He-Man channel. Sometimes he creates "new" He-Man shorts using old footage. You could add some brand new dialogue - bring Skeletor into the 21st century.

Oh the 80s Ninja craze to the day I still am in AWE of anything that is pure Ninja stuff! One thing that bothered me is that you didn't add the 80s 3 3/4 Remco Ninja Strike Force? Did you have any of them back in the day, I believe they were sold in Kmart and Woolsworth on the cheap. Not all of them were Ninjas but the line was pretty damn good if you had Ninja love as I did and still do. Man I wish I was at that seminar when it happened cause you would have put the biggest smile on my face with 80s Ninja love here! You really need to do a Top 10 Ninja list!!!

Hi Michael, wouldn't it be great if you make a sequel for your Panel. Maybe a Ultimate 90's Ninja Panel. My suggestion for topics would be : - Mortal Kombat (esspecially Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Reptile etc.) - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Movie from 1990 - The influence of TMNT in the 1990's - 3 Ninjas - Beverly Hills Ninja (The Movie with Chris Farley and Chris Rock) - Various Ninja Video Games (Shinobi, Ninja Gaiden, Tenchu for PS1)

Do you have any plans to review Tranzor Z or the Force Five cartoons? You can easily find Tranzor Z bootlegs at any comic convention. The uncut version, Mazinger Z is avalible in 2 DVD releases thanks to Discotek. Only one of the Force Five has a uncut DVD release, and that is Gaiking. The dubs can easily be found in comic conventions. The uncut Grandizer (fun fact: Grandizer is a sequel to Tranzor Z in Japan) and Starvengers (Getter Robo G, I recommend viewing the original Getter Robo first) is pretty easy to find online, the uncut Spacekateers (Starzinger) is currently being subtitled and Dangard Ace has a 3 dubbed complitation DVDs.

So recently I've found out via The Game Chasers that ad blockers can prevent ads from being shown on KZbin. I honestly had no idea that ad-block plus went that far. I mostly used it for putlocker to find those more obscure series, or I'll watch a few episodes to see if I want to purchase a dvd or blu-ray, if it's out. I thought they just blocked pop up ads. Point being, if you want to support the how; turn off ad pop up blockers.
