I want to ask what is our purpose in this game? Whats the point of increasing our level or buying stronger weapons? Is there a final boss that we are trying to fight?

@@enginermis4626 Honestly, levelling is more of a gameplay curve. It doesn’t have too big of a purpose because the game scales with your own level. Your level 10, so the enemies are also level 10. But that being said, there are many challenging bosses later in the game. And yes, there is a final boss in each of the books.

There are story quests which he hasn't really started yet in this series, and quite a lot of content since the game started in 2006 (2005 if we count beta). As for getting better gear, while the enemies do scale to your level (assuming it's not the really old fixed level quests), the player has a better scaling with the more stats you gain from it and leveling up. This will especially be true for some of the later book 3 content, which can be a bit of a challenge for the less experienced players, even more so if they aren't well equipped. Oh yeah, Midnight mentioned challenge bosses. There's a special challenge arena for them that you can access at any time once you reach Falconreach, but the scaling really favours the high levels for your player. Some of the really old ones can be done at low levels, though Midnight's not at a point where he can do that.
