What's the difference between resist and anti-retire?

Resist means that the opponent can't target your card for effects while anti-retire just prevents your cards from being retired. Resist cards can still be retired through some means like Root Flare Dragon, but they gain protection from effects like LJ's lock and GC's tucking

anti retire can get targeted for lock bind paralyzed etc. resisted most of the time just doesn't

The only way you can deal with resist cards other than attacking is too use skill don't target or don't have "choose" wording and Loop hools. Things like Blaster Joker Full board lock,Novell and Tempest Dragon field nuke or Inferno Limit Brake and Pegasus Field bottom. Root Flare and other Kagero Legion that retire colum but this thing only happen if your opponent is careless and put a non risist unit behind resist unit.
