This is the reason why Guardians hate Squids in Minecraft! We'll find out what is the theory / lore / story behind the guardians & elder guardians. This theory is my craziest yet!

I’m glad you noticed the evidence that ocean monuments had to be originally built under the sea. However, I don’t think those ships belonged to pirates. There are never any weapons in the shipwrecks, which you could expect on pirate ships. I think they were more likely merchant ships, which is also supported by fact that the shipwreck loot is largely composed of items sought after by villagers. I also think that the reason why dolphins lead you to the nearest underwater structure is because they are intelligent and know such structures are something players might be interested in.

Is there any evidence that thay are really built underwater and that it is not built over the water then by time like how Dino bones are in the ground the huge building went underwater then flooded and of weird fish or the gaurdians?

@@georg_blockbuster5745 the way they are built, it would be impractical to make multiple levels of a building with no stairs, ladders or a way to get up UNLESS it was build underground where it would be possible to get to the 2nd level by swimming

6:15 Prismarine can also be found under ocean ruins meaning that prismarine could be a block that was found under oceans and eventually all of it was collected for making ocean monuments. Eventually after all the prismarine was collected all the gravel and sand collapsed on top of the stone bellow the ocean

You forgot one possible important thing why they try to kill squids. Maybe they are trying to kill them so they can obtain their "ink" to use it to their advantage so they can blind their enemies using ink.

I think if they got squids they would gain the ability to ink, as they absorbed the other stuff without gaining a mouth

Na I think they would become a elder guardian Cod absorbed = life Salmon = tail Pufferfish = spikes Tropical fish = bigger spikes and the orange tint Squid = that big blue spikes and becomes a elder guardian

Two flaws to the theory 1. Why don’t they attack dolphins and turtles too? Wouldn’t speed and being giant flippers be pretty useful? 2. Also I would assume that the sponges would be used to suck the fish in and the reason only elder guardians drop sponges is because they are like ant queens and they get the normal guardians to bring food to them so they can eat

Body armour and super fast swimming sounds a lot better than spraying ink unless the guardians were to gain tentacles by absorbing squids.

Yep, another issue is the so called gods. Their dialog actually suggests they are the ancient builders, having ascended to a higher plane of existence. Thus the ancient builders couldn't have become the zombies and drowned. I actually have own theory on where Prizmarine came from, its from another dimension like the shulk.

Let me make my own very simple theory Have you ever seen a volcanic snail? Volcanic snails have scales made of iron. Maybe Guardians are just leviathans with prismarine scales and the beams are shots of electricity or something like that.

I think the prismarine is end stone or netherack that was transformed by the sea Ruined portals do exist underwater and in lore and in ruined portals the nether flows out into the overworld perhaps after so long under the sea any glowstone that came out became like something akin to amathyst bud creating the crystals used in sea lamps while the netherack turned to prismarine but it was all mined out As for heart of the sea perhaps it came later in fact it could be a enderpearl changed by water and time or some other property altering event

Guardians used to attack all aquatic mobs I remember when I found a temple because theee was loads of raw fish floating to serfice around the temples and the beams were everywhere. I thikk they attacked drowns too but can’t remember

I have have another theory on how they found prysmarine (and other blocks that can only be found through structures and mobs). I think that the fossils are he bones of ancient mobs that dropped things ( or thongs to craft them) like prysamrine, mob spawners, end portal frames etc

Maybe the reason they kill squids is because they want the ink Their eye is mechanical ( atleast by what I think i saw correctly) and maybe there's a special machinery in it to transform ink into the lasers.

Honestly I always just thought they were fish piloted golem/mech things. -they are made of a stone (prismarine) -they have been proven to be mechanical. -they drop fish on death. Weren't the monuments built by the builder race? Who are now the undead and endermen. If that was correct the Guardians well guard said monument. Do they attack drowned? That is a big question. As for the squids perhaps the ink creates interference with their "eye". This may be irrelevant but im pretty sure the ink effect/blindness in minecraft dungeons prevents them from using their beams for the effect's duration can't remember as don't use squid Armour much. I only bring it up as dungeons was considered canonical at some point. I like the theory. But I think more along the lines of a security golem was designed after pufferfish to allow for close proximity combat, and it having a fish in it would explain them dropping fish. Plus while you don't physically do this you character can rip the eye out of the guardians and use them as a weapon. This also brings up weather the golems are actually alive or not. Though I still question how they have beams.

Half of what you said is true and actually provable. In dungeons there’s a mural in the ruins of the drowned civilization that depicts a golden meteor hitting the ocean floor. Then they build a city around a golden temple and the tridents depicted are also the same color. It suggests they used the prismarine to build the ocean monument and built cities and towns around them and used it to craft tridents and even guardians as they also are shown as having a meteor essence within them. The conduit is made using the heart of the sea and when activated it’s a giant eye ball, perhaps one belonging to ancient krakens. This might be why the gaurdians attack squids

I'm rewatching this video to say what if when the ancient builders were in the overworld and the plaque begain and we all know the nether story and everything but what if portals were actually time zones and the sculk spreading across the world is what decomposed the world and then the overworld started to look like the end so what if endermen were actually people infected by sculk but it would happen over time and some of them tried getting as far away as possible

Drowned and gaurdians dont fight so my thery is that they already have drowns let me explain so when a drowned throws a trident at u it takes some time just like the gaurdians and gaurdians dont attack things that they have right so this is probbly how the builders are included because zombies become into drown so were the garudians inclouded with the death of builders?! mabey but it could all be fake its just a thery so what do u think?
