This series is what got me into reading! So glad you're enjoying it. The Time of the Twins is even better so I definitely urge you to carry on.

Awesome video! Man this really takes me back. Dragonlance was such an experience for me as a teen. I love the characters so much, especially Tas, and I love the fantastical world these endearing characters lived in. I also really enjoyed the Twins trilogy, focusing on Cameron and Raistlin. You make me want to pick it up again, so awesome!

Just got my kids into this series as we own the whole thing. It was my husband's favorite as a kid. We named our youngest son Raistlin. 😁

I’ve never done DnD so this has been pretty off my radar, but you’ve firmly put it on my tbr! Seems like a perfect read for when I’m in the mood for lighter epic fantasy with still some meaningful themes

I’ve never played D&D nor have I ever heard of these books, but I really enjoyed this review of the trilogy! I think you sum up series really well without being spoiler-y, as well as giving great explanations as to why you liked or disliked certain aspects of the book. Now this makes me want to play D&D and find a group of people to play it with, it sounds fun!

Hey, great review. I'm new to fantasy, is this a good first series to read? Or is it difficult to follow with many characters? Thank you
@bardsandbooks
@bardsandbooks 10 күн бұрын
Thanks so much! I’d say this is an excellent starting point for fantasy and is, indeed, a formative series for many who have gone on and become big fantasy fans. It is easy to follow along, despite the many characters and has so much to explore.

I look on these books fondly though the first one is easily my favorite. I think with a few differences it would be a favorite. The Weave and the Void by T. W. Anderson has similar vibes but is better I think.

Nothing better than books one and two. Spring Dawning with its emphasis on a balance with good and evil was such a let down to me then and now. We need more evil in the world? There can be too much good? So intellectually lazy and ridiculous moral relativism when you compare the acts of Huma to the acts of the opposing forces. It basically ruined Krynn for me. I did enjoy the Forgotten Realms for many more years though. Good video.
