lmao yeah, up until that point I've never seen anyone activating that card, and I figured it was a bluff or irrelevant since he set it so early in the game, but didn't activate it for so long I got taken aback when he actually activated it lol

what i love about dragonmaid is how so fluid the dragonmaid engine works. u can do multiple thing and anticipate most thing. and best not make it too OP since there is a lot of way to counter it here and there. but that the beauty of it.

Nevermind, the effect you can use with Adelantado depends on which banished cards you return and maybe he didn't have the ones necessary for the nuke effect

Just goes to show how absurdly strong Golden Boi is even without a single floodgate or Solemn card. When i read your description and looked up the El Dorado Adelantado i couldn't believe Eldlich has such an amazingly powerful card on top of everything else but it never sees play because they usually have so many more broken cards at their disposal.

It is certainly a very strong card, the main issues with it are: It cannot be searched in-archetype (not a "Golden Land" nor a "Eldlixir" card) and it doesn't generate more resources (Banishing itself from the GY to set another from the deck). You'd probably rather have access to a more impactful card considering all of this, like Skill Drain for example considering that one isn't searchable either.

That is true, unfortunately House Dragonmaid wasn't summoned properly, which means I cannot special summon her from the GY unless I had previously Fusion Summoned her

So many other channels have guides and commentary over games and also deck profiles going through every card, this is clearly just a series of quick combo games we can watch. So maybe this might be too advanced if u just got the deck. Good luck

It’s a snowbally control deck. You spend the early parts of the game just stopping your opponent from getting set up. Then once you have enough cards in grave, you can start massive combos that let you overwhelm and beat down your opponent. In terms of function, it’s a lot of flowing cards in and out of the graveyard, field, and hand. It has a lot of ways to set you up with a big board, while preventing your opponent from getting a big board. Its biggest strength is also its biggest weakness though. It struggles super hard against other negate heavy decks. So it’s really good against some parts of the meta, like Eldlich, but bad against other parts of the meta, like Runick. It’s a super balanced deck where you’re rewarded for good timing on your negates. Very beginner-friendly. The basics of the deck are incredibly easy to learn, and as you play against more decks you’ll start to learn the right timings for negates. One thing to know, is that the Dragonmaid Structure Deck is terrible. It only has one of each maid, which means fewer combos, and some of the spells and traps in it are useless. Much better off following a deck list, as you need hand traps and better negates / removal.

I don't have access to this replay anymore but based on the cards he was playing (El Dorado Adelantado and Guardian of the Golden Land) he might've not even been playing floodgates. The duel lasted 7 turns and he didn't draw a single one, very unlucky or he just wasn't playing any.
