Thank you for keeping politics out of it, and focusing on what a museum is supposed to be: Historical & Informative!
@frankvictorrood4 жыл бұрын
In history it's impossible to not involve politics. You can be scientific, and factually correct but there is always a political bias. When politics isn't seen in it, it's because the narrative is likely the status quo, which is biased.

@@jamesr.9852 Saying that we owe George Washington a lot is a political statement. There are many historians disagreeing and even arguing he made the US worse than it could be. Many think he was a bad person because he couldnt relate to common people and thought slavery was a natural state and reality and he deserved keeping slaves. There is always a political narrative

Hi. I live in New York and financially I can not come to your museum but through your great videos I am able to see your great collection. I have a rather small museum in my converted garage. Now I'm move into the den also. You sir are a true inspiration. I have mainly helmets, caps ,uniforms from civil war to Afghanistan. At 57 im a late bloomer spent much of my life collecting phonographs and records but in 3 years I've started preserving the U.S . Military. With so many people wanting to destroy our great history . The fire was sparked inside of me and my family to preserve as much as possible. God bless you and what you do.

Dislikers please explain yourself. This military museum is by far the greatest I've ever seen. Living in Northern Ireland I can only watch in amazement of this private collection. I travel to Normandy in France every year to pay my respects. I have viewed every military museum in Normandy though the collections they have are great to see and the history behind extremely interesting Dragonmans museum to me is the very best. I've never been to America but if I get the chance I know where im heading, Colorado Springs!
@Lucas218074 жыл бұрын
My guess is because of the historical inaccuracies in his newest displays. Uniforms are Halloween costumes. Some of the guns are replicas (he says they're 200 years old and should function).

A lot of the civil uniforms are very incorrect. The union soldiers usually used haversacks that had tar coating them not plain canvas. And the jackets. Why do most of the union in his display have shell jackets. Those were used my cavalry and artillery. The union there should have either frock coats or sack costs. Also one of the confederate infantry uniforms he has has a confederate cavalry jacket and not the standard infantry one. His uniforms also almost all have kepi’s and not forage caps. Forage caps were much more common during the war. If you want to get a look at what more accurate uniforms are look at some of the photos from the Liberty Rifles civil war re-enactments. They are a hardcore civil war reenacting group and as such all of their uniforms or basically 100% accurate.
@milesroy98034 жыл бұрын
Dragon man. If you see this comment I would very much advise you to fix your civil war uniforms so they are more accurate. If you need more insight into how to fix it look it up on the internet or message me.

You're right. And it's not just his civil war uniforms. "Revolutionary war" uniforms as well... Some of the guns are also replicas not intended to fire.

1 thing Dragon Man, that Union Jack is wrong. The red x (cross of St Patrick) was added after 1800. During the revolution the British flag was the Kings Colours, just had the white x for scotland in the back.

Just a note for your history tour the rebel battle flag was called the "stars and bars" by men of the southern army an each star repped one of the southern states. Another little known fact is more soldiers died in the civil war than all the rest of the wars put together (due to larger calibre weapons ex .75cal) 498,332 died
