Happy New Year, Sir!!! I have to thank you for all the invaluable information you’ve passed on these past 12 months. Weird as it sounds, I’ve been learning Linux by watching your videos. The main thing I’ve learned this year is that the more you learn about Computer Science and Electrical Engineering is that the more you learn the less you know. At least now I can verbalize my ignorance. Thanks again!! I plan to give a WarDragon whirl in the next couple of months. That being said, I still think you should start branding some thumb drives with Dragon OS (Bootable) already setup. Sell them for $ or great way to share your OS at conventions or expos. I need to rewatch a few because I need to hear more about this drone project. Awesome!!! And thanks for the forthcoming Dragon Release.

Happy New Year! I was initially just going to share some thoughts, in fact I forgot to share some info about a dashboard someone is helping build for DragonOS.

Thank you for the video. For anyone struggle with the script (I had the same error he did with the final setup on the database). You mentioned running docker without sudo. This turned out to be the issue. Before running this install, make sure docker can work without sudo

Great advice! You mean when I went and like restarted the database or just initially when I went to run it and it couldn’t connect to the docker? That was my bad for not logging out and back in and making sure I was added to the group.

Id love to see KrakenRF DF Results converted to CoT format or have the heatmap overlay in TAK.

In the TAK gui. Go to Configuration->Inputs and set up a Streaming Data Feed. Then you can just send the data to that port as CoT (Cursor-on-Target).

Also, you mentioned Epiq hardware… do you have one of their SDR SOM that’s the size of 2 WiFi modules and actually has M.2 connectivity.??? Sidekiq I think is the name.. If you have a video on that I gotta find it. When I first saw that kit, I thought it was slickest shizz I’ve even seen. Some come with the FPGA and Trans IC as the Pluto but then some have one the new ADRV9000series transceiver IC. You should check out that chip. It’s crazy, and I don’t know anything. It’s capable of next level functionality, it’s pretty impressive. My problem with it is the same as other hardware is the frequency range tops at 6ghz. Sometimes higher( I found the HackRf will go to 7ghzish with command line input). I wish SDR receivers went to 9ghz out of the box. A lot of stuff I’m trying to check out with SDR is in the X-Band(ish). That means procuring a bunch of peripheral kit which is cool and all, I just wish the range was a tad higher from the factory.

I do actually have the pcie version sidekiq that’s like a PlutoSDR. I managed to build a firmware for it using the PlutoSDR SDK, took me a bit, but it works and I can use the model just like as if it’s a Pluto. Some really cool stuff!

Question: Is it okay to upgrade to Jammy or just future versions in general?

DragonOS FocalX (note the X) although having “Focal” in its name is actually 22.04 Jammy.. I know, sorry for the confusion. DragonOS Focal was 20.04 and I would not recommend trying to update it to Jammy. Probably break tons of stuff. I would recommend reinstalling DragonOS FocalX which I now maintain a PPA of updates for. With all that said, unfortunately even DragonOS FocalX would almost surely not update safely to 24.04 when it comes out. My intent is to support 22.04 Jammy for some time as it’s good still for a couple of years. I may also build another DragonOS on top of 24.04 eventually. Hope that helps some.

@@cemaxecuter7783 I did so install X and noticed the Jammy repos. Another question, did you notice that the latest version of WSJT-X in the Ubuntu repo is only available in Noble 24.04?

@@cemaxecuter7783 Oh, yeah, I did install X and confirmed the repos to be Jammy. That said, I went to install tSQL for LOTW but it's some two versions behind. The current version is slated for Noble 24.04 repo! Any suggestions?
