Extremely limited market? My headphones fall out when I'm studying for crying out loud, no one who's ever owned a pair of earphones can't relate to what this product is offering. That doesn't mean everyone's going to buy it but there's nothing "fad" about a product that improves function. Gopro is the sort of company that should have an extremely limited market and yet it's wildly successful. The dragons don't know what sells to the millennial generation, it's frustrating to hear them talk like they do.

Peter was spot on, they look ridiculous, and the earphones you buy now have rubber loops that fit inside the inner ear. Also you can change the size of the rubber cone thing that goes on the speaker bit that goes into the ear so it fits tighter.

+loftboy1128 just google ear candi and it'll come up. I paid around £15, there's enough mould to make 3 pieces which is useful if you get it wrong first time!! I mounded them around a cheap pair of in-ear phones linked up to my monitoring pack. Highly recommended

I'm partially deaf due to the shape of my ears, these would be fantastic for me and even expensive earphones just fallout and don't fit right. These remind me of the process used to make hearing aids that I wear so I think it's a great idea. this is such a good product, especially for musicians who perform live or work in small studios with live instruments , its so expensive to get custom ear plugs moulded specifically to you to prevent ear damage. this is a cheap and efficient solution. great idea.

I spent £15 on some Bluetooth earphones for running. They have a hook which grips onto the ear and different sized ear buds for a customised fit. But, I have to wear a sweatband to keep them in place while I run. This causes pain due to pressure on my ears. Honestly, I think this is a great product. If it does what it says on the tin, then this would be so useful for me

Peter Jones gets some things right and some things wrong here. Right- most people probably don't want to stick an ungly chunk of playdough on their nice headphones. Wrong - there market is far from flooded with headphones that "grip the inner ear". And most of those headphones are specific sport models. There are people who would love to buy any headphone model, and just replace the tip with this kind of custom tip.

I've tried dozens of cheap and expensive wired and wireless ear buds for when I go running, work out, even boxing and Muay Thai training (NOT sparring), and never found ear buds that stay in. The ones with the around the ear clip are the worst. I'd try this product.

I actually got mixed up and thought this was the beginning of Skullcandy. Bought their earphones a couple of times and for 5 bucks in Tesco they're unreal value, not tinny sounding at all, a perfectly decent mix of treble and bass. Because of the obvious low price one of the earphones goes within a year (you can't possibly expect them to last forever) but if your ever skint and looking for earphones I would highly recommend them.

It's amazing how they totally missed the live music scene who don't want to spend £150+ on monitors (we're not talking headliner acts here, but mid level artists) and also snowsports. I've been fortunate to work with some high profile winter olympic athletes and they all listen to music while snowboarding / skiing and would most likely be very interested in these, which could easily lead to marketing opportunities - heck it even became a 'thing' with commentators at the recent Pyeongchang olympics to speculate what they were listening to before they went down the slopes. I love how the dragons appear to be so detached from real world society, as someone else pointed out, GoPro would be seen as a 'niche' market, but look what they've done to the market. All it takes is one brand to make others follow - people buy into branding, not the product.

All you need to do is wrap an ear piece over the front top of your ear and plug em in pointing upside down. The wire rests ontop of your ear supporting the weight the headphones thus not pulling out

There is a market for high end headphones. The company I work for makes cases for jh audio. The headphones that the case typically holds retails for about $1500. One machine is left setup for making the small cases and constantly runs at least 8 hours each day. So the market is there. Your initials in gold leaf or carbon fiber construction? You bet..

This is basically a cheap version of Sugru that's specifically marketed for headphones. Sugru is actually useful for a whole lot more. Also, it came out a few years before this product.

I think its a decent product as the brand and idea would work for many people and probably make those two some decent money but as the Dragons said trying to scale it up it just wouldn't be a strong enough product. Personally the earphones I use rarely fall out when I'm running/jogging, occasionally when working out but not often enough to bother me.

A totally missed opportunity to say this product could have been an easy way out for artist and bands that use in ear monitoring system moulds as it costs a lot to get the moulds professionally done anyway. They would have pitched the product to the dragons on how beneficial this would have been in the entertainment industry, not only in sport. More research could have been done on this.
