By the way you can respect every item in NG+, you can also have some character upgrade for a duration + spell upgrade you can activate. You can ofc loot every item once again for example if you want to equip same ring 2 times or have for some reason character + pawn using the same weapon / armor. EDIT: This all works until you meet Dwarf upgrades that bump Projection stats and same dmg stats than Vermundian. (Cost x2 mats) basically 99% of the time the BEST upgrade you can have, the only exception is for weapons that wants lots of magic damage and don't really have projection effects.

There’s a dwarf in batahl(not sure if I spelt that right) that offers the similar style of smithing as the one in the volcano island, dwarf is also the same as vermundian but better knock down resilience, if ur upgrading armour, always do dwarf, and for weapons same, the damage difference between a architrave full elven and one full dwarven is like less than 10%, but u miss out on all that juicy knockdown damage, dwarf is better end game, the others are okay for early to mid if u really wanna upgrade, I’m 60+ hours in and haven’t upgraded a single thing, just saving up crafting materials and gold so I can make one big upgrade to my top 5 classes before end game

You can also reset gear upgrades in new game plus so it's not a super big deal to upgrade now and change later

Do you need max out gear to beat the final boss or just mainly for endgame?

You can beat the game without upgrades at all, its more about min maxing than anything else, past level 50 your damage is just too high for every enemy available

Nah the gear really doesn’t matter much at all. It’s really more about “skill,” or rather, knowing which skills to use when and when you should be aggressive, or when you should pull back and heal or pull your team out of a fight etc etc. Like sometimes with a dragon you can kinda sense “he’s gonna grab my pawn and give them plague in a second here”. Just run away and pull them back to you for a second and reset. And like knowing the different enemies’ weak spots and WHEN they are weak spots. Like sometimes you wanna climb up on something and hit it in the head… sometimes that’s not gonna work for you and you need to wait til they get knocked over or whatever. But there’s really nothing in the game that is “so hard” you can’t take it down. It’s just a matter of how good of skills your pawns have and how you can control them and control the flow of the battle. Like right now I’m lv. 58 on NG+ and we can take down a griffin in like under a minute or so… but my first griffin fight took close to 15/20 minutes or so… was still able to do it, just took a lot more effort. But if you’ve got a good mage keeping you and your pawns healed, you’ll be fine no matter your damage output. Don’t stress about it.

I’m bout to start reporting ppl video with bad information. You can take any upgrade off any weapon at the dragon forge. How bout you play the game longer than a week before making a horrible “tutorial” vid foreal the spread of misinformation about this game is getting out of hand
