Towers of Thangorodrim does not necessarily mean mountains, it could mean actual stone towers constructed by Morgoth atop the mountains. Not all mountains are super enormous. Some are quite small and pathetic when compared to big mountains like Kilimanjaro, Denali, K2, and Everest. We just don't know his true size because Tolkien didn't deem it important enough to go into that much detail. I think his depiction in this video is a pretty good baseline.

@@paulromero2937 Indeterminate, we cannot compare power levels of separate worlds accurately. That said, as this is the internet, I am obligated to immediately disagree with your statement. Ancalagon is stronger than Deathwing.

@@justinnelson7357 I wonder, Ancalagon was slain by a half elf wielding a sword and a bunch of eagles whilst Deathwing took the combined powers of all the dragon aspects, the greatest shaman to ever live, the player-characters, and a weapon specifically designed to kill him AND still needed 2 shots from it to finish him off. Not to mention the fact Deathwing had planet destructive strength where Ancalagon was more of a continental threat id say

I am glad too, I love the books, it just bothers me a little that she was actually much larger. Somewhere I found she was at least 40 metres long.
