What a cutie pie. I luv raccoons, raccoon babies even more. They have places in every state the do rehabilitation and what they call a soft release it lets them get used to other baby raccoons and gradually get use to being in the wild. Also with a baby raccoon you should use a regular baby bottle 🍼 the bent bottles are even better. They also need help going urinating and pooping with a few gentle wipes from a warm wet paper towel. Super cool that u cared enough to help him.

I did the same thing in 2005 to 2006 with abandoned squirrels. I built them a house, hung it in my tree, and released after two months' slow "acclimation" to the outside. It was one of the best experiences of my life.

I feed wild raccoons every night. I have a momma that has been coming up the last 2 weeks. I know this because she stood on her back feet and I could see where she is being suckled. I hope she brings her babies in a few weeks.

We raised a baby raccoon my dad rescued when In was a kid. He had to be bottle fed. He'd hold his own bottle. He was a great pet. Lots of fun and lots of laughs.

I had a couple of these as pets when I was little. I would find them abandoned in the barn. The best discovery I ever made was that they take absolutely no issue with wearing make-shift diapers out of old wash clothes and bobby pins.

We have a family of raccoons living near to us, sometimes I see them in the mornings and evenings. I like to think (but I'm not about to test it!) they like me because once they were trapped in a big garbage bin. There wasn't enough garbage in it for them to climb out. I found a cardboard box, put it in the bin (they kept an eye on me, I avoided eye contact) and they used that to climb out.

@SilverBunnyStudios I know, he's the most adorable thing!! But raccoons aren't really friendly after the first year, their wild instincts take over, so we're going to rehabilitate him as best we can and then slowly release him back into the wild over the course of a few months :)

I adopted Rocket when he was only a few weeks old, he'll be turning 3 years old at the end of February and he's not aggressive at all , he loves to rough house with his adopted dog sisters, but he is never threatening to them , I had intended to release Rocket after he was old enough, but decided not to because he is to trusting with other animals and I am so afraid of what could happen to him , besides I have let him outside my house before and he wasn't having it at all , he doesn't like any doors shut between me and him. I can't even take a bath without having to leave the door opened lol
