WOF dragons are fully aged at 7. Deathbringer's first appears when all 5 dragonets (Including Glory) are close to 6, and Deathbringer is 12. Deathbringer knew that Glory was a child because his orders described Glory as a dragonet. The only backstory Tui will give him is that he's not allowed within 300 feet of a SkyWing wingery.

YES I’m so happy to find someone else who loved this book because there is so much hate for it in the fandom! The plot was so well thought out with the first arc and it was so cool to see the motivations and stories behind the scavengers. The two stories played into eachother so well and I found myself saying “oh that’s why that happened!” So many times. I adore Wren and Sky, and I think Ivy was a really well developed character as well as her friends (which I found their friendship so realistic and sweet). Genuinely just a very well written book.

I read Dragonslayer over the course of about two hours, laughing every single time Wren said the words MurderBasket. It was the last book I read in the series, and it was so fun, like fitting the pieces together. "Oh, THATS Flower's name!" "Oh, THATS when they meet Sunny!" Getting a different POV and the same events is awesome. Sky is also officially my favorite character

I agree! This book was wonderful! I loved the all the little Easter eggs for fans, such as the rainwing and nightwing thing. And seeing murderbasket was absolutely great. Tui did an amazing job when she set up their world, tied in all the different events they appear in, and overall just design their world. 😁

I’m gonna be honest, here. I LOVED Dragonslayer up until the ending. Undauntable, Sky, Wren, Leaf, and Ivy were all really great characters! But the end of the book just felt like it was so rushed. A SkyWing dragonet is in Valor literally just standing there doing nothing, yet everyone’s freaking out about it, then Ivy says that they need the real Dragonslayer, and Heath just... says he didn’t kill Oasis? Then all of a sudden, everyone takes this seriously when he might’ve not even said it load enough, and then Ivy shoves in Commander Brook and says “here’s our new lord now!” (Even though we didn’t see her show any political skills whatsoever), and then everyone rolls with it? IVY IS 14!!!! Why is everyone taking her seriously?! I just... WHAT?! I also thought Rose’s backstory could be handled better (but that’s probably just me nitpicking), I really didn’t like Ivy and Leaf’s romance either, and I kinda wanted to know about the dragonmancers a bit more (yeah that’s definitely me nitpicking)... yeah, ok I’ll stop being negative! Sky was really cute, Wren was an interesting character, but Ivy and Leaf definitely deserve more fan art. They were great too! Alright, you’re probably done with me, sorry this comment was really long. I’ll stop now!

Dragonslayer is the thiccest book in the series so far and understandable because there’s plenty to talk about the humans. I like Wren and Ivy a lot. I love the Murderbasket nickname 😂 It took me a bit to realize it was Deathbringer because he was the only black dragon in those parts of lands, how he let out some sigh, and the “mission” thing 😂 I would love to see more interactions with Smolder, Winter, and Cricket combined!

I'm curremtly re-reading all the books and I was just pissing myself laughing in book 5 when Deathbr- *cough* Murderbasket mentioned how scavengers unnerve him and Glory was all "Aw, look at the big bad assassin~ Scared of the lil' bitty scavengers~" God damn Wren what did you do to this poor dragon? xD Also that moment she growled "Moons above!" In Dragon at Undauntable was hilarious. And yeah Ivy being obsessed with dragons is litterally me. I picked up sketching after 3 years b/c of WoF and rapidly got a lot better at it. Also yes Sky is adorable as all hell. So precious. The first few years with Wren were just so... aaah. *chef's kiss* Esp the DoD cameo. And them exchanging languages. And the teasing. (Its why I adore GloryBasket so much too.)

Ever notice how wings of fire fans are always using Wings of Fire dragon phrases like “By the moons” or “Moons above”, and I use them too. And I cant wait till we get another legends story where Winter finds out about Wren and then learns the Scavenger language, and Sky meats Peril, and about a bazillion other things. Edit: Pre-ordered “The Dangerous Gift”, and now I find that Winter does meet them, so yeah. Hooray! Still waiting for them to meet Peril.
