Happy you like Dragonspine. I never understood the "hate" for this region, yes the cold and the fact that the chest detector doesn't work is annoying, but the beauty of the scenes and the lore here is something else ! (once again a bit sad that a big chunk of lore is hidden behind events)

Now that you've finished Dragonspine, you could watch Silicon's videos to understand everything in a more linear way He makes great videos organizing and telling lore He did a new one about the murder 2 weeks ago

Dragonspine always has a special place in my heart, because sometimes I'll be somewhere else on the map and I'll look in the distance and I'll see the celestial nail floating above the mountain. I'll stop and take a moment to just admire it and think, "I did that."

Yesss! I'm so glad you decided to go on and upload this journey. I think Dragonspine is easily the best designed place genshin has released, both fantastic visuals and music offer the perfect atmosphere, incredible lore, and gameplay wise as well it's just so enjoyable and different from what genshin usually does. How much they managed to fit into this small little circle of the map in the middle of everything and keeping it completely optional to do is insane. Fully exploring really feels like a huge achievement, like conquering a real mountain. It gets a lot of undeserved hate from the community, it's difficulty is the main reason I love it and I'm glad hoyo's never changed it despite the outcry, unlike some of the other things they've walked back on. Sorry for the rant, but whenever I get the chance I love to sing dragonspine's praises. Glad to see that you also loved it as much as I did, can't wait to see where we go next!

WOW!!! That is super impressive that you got it to 100%! Someone joined my world and helped me and I was able to get the last 3% with their help. I first stepped onto dragonspine when my traveler was level 12. Yes, 12! I wasn’t even using xp books!!! That was just passive xp because I was dumb and thought the xp books shouldn’t be used. Lol. The enemies were lvl 30 and I saw the lawachurl near the tree and I went 😨…… My friend and I helped each other when we were both noobs so despite it all, I do have fond memories of dragonspine. The music, the vibe is so different and fits what they tried to do so well. It is a cold desolate mountain and the lore is incredible and exploration challenging enough that it’s memorable. So glad you enjoyed it. Some people in the early days from what I hear basically got turned off from dragonspine being too difficult. I will admit I think I got frustrated with the layout of the mountain a lot too, and since it’s so confusing to explore along with the sheer cold, there were times I just got tired of it. I have now since helped out multiple new players complete dragonspine, the same way my friends helped me out. The susbedo event you react to later is also one of my first events when I started playing the game and so I have fond memories of dragonspine with that too :D it was very Christmas/holiday vibes

Dragonspine definitely has an impact. It's been almost four years since it came out and it's still one of my favourite areas in the game. It used to be my favourite zone until a hidden area in Inazuma was released, which I don't know if it's been spoiled for you, so I'll refrain from mentioning it (I know you've seen it in the trailers, but whatever). Dragonspine currently sits as my third favourite, after that area at number two and the entirety of the Sumeru rainforest at number one. In every single playthrough, I do Dragonspine as early as possible in order to make it even more difficult with the limited tools in the early game. The combat especially becomes really hard, where most major enemies can kill you in one or two hits, and you really have to utilise reactions a lot in order to deal any reasonable amount of damage. Doing that is extremely fun and it helps me see how far I've come compared to 4 years ago, when I was at about the same level as what you are and still struggled. Dragonspine is also probably the hardest area in Genshin, not counting specific challenging encounters. Parts of Inazuma do come close to this level of difficulty, but Inazuma also lets you remove a lot of that difficulty by completing quests related to those areas. Dragonspine doesn't relent, you just learn to survive in it, which is always a triumphant feeling. Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I love this little mountain a lot, and there really isn't anything else like it. I wrote this long comment since this will probably be the last Dragonspine video that's in-game itself and not an event reaction. It'll be fun seeing your journey from here on, since you definitely won't have as hard of a time elsewhere after this. Not until Inazuma. I look forward to your story quest playthroughs as well as your reaction to the first lantern rite and windblume events, but I'm most looking forward to the point once you get to bough-keeper dainslief and we will be reunited. Past that point, it's really gonna pick up as you head to Inazuma, and honestly, it'll only really slow down again once you get to the downtime between Sumeru and Fontaine.

I was always warned of Dragonspine during the first year (started in 1.3). I was so afraid, fearing the worst. Then I did it and it was a delight for me. During the 1.0 series there was not that many (frequent) pyro applicators at the time, so that added to the difficulty. But I still had fun, and the adventure made me an Amber main. I like exploring it so much I love to help people in co-op clear it, if needed. Some challenges were a bit unfair with difficulty, but I still appreciate the exploration challenge. And the lore there! It's still one I'm invested in and constantly hope we get more chances to go back there. Much like the mysterious island in Mondstadt. And there are more gems in the future that also improve upon certain aspects of gameplay :)

Love the atmosphere in dragonspine. Actually at this point i think it would make sense lorewise to watch the "shadows amidst snowstorms" event. One of the events with pretty good / relevant lore. Also congrats on maxing dragonspine. I remember 100%ing it was especially hard to get because you had to like really get the 100% and without a treasure compass.

So they added a new World Quest explaining what happened to Joel's father after 2.3 to give the story some kind of closure, but for players who missed out on the 2.3 event, the WQ is a bit different, and you don't know all of the additional context of what was happening in Dragonspine when Joel's father was found... which generated some pretty wild theories from the players surrounding the identity of the missing man. So when you eventually react to the 2.3 event, keep in mind that the follow-up quest with Joel's father takes place immediately after that.

I remember the first time going in dragonspine just to experience the mechanics that were mentioned earlier, and i later decided "let me level up a little bit before I proceed further"...few days later I thought to do some wishes for a 4 star character that was there in the banner and lo and behold I lost my 50/50 to diluc....I ended up getting diluc and the 4 start I wanted and so I quicly leveled him up as highest as possible and dragonspine became fun all of a sudden...also amber helped me a lot.

Ah, dragonspine. Quite the fun I had there. I decided to not explore it before finishing all archon quests I had to do at that time. Then, I got Dehya and decided to go and 100% it. It has so much lore and quite the view. Btw, you can get on the pilar. If you're up to, you can go and watch the scenery

I had go be honest, not my favorite area to explore when it was released 😅, I wasn't that interested into lore back then. Now, seeing you there shows how important it was to understand those histories of forgotten kingdoms and their relationship with the gods. Congratz for your 100% exploring!! 🎉

Hoyo definitely was changed after Dragonspine as well :D I believe we have Dragonspine to thank for not having a breath meter in Fontaine or a heat meter in the Sumeru desert or Natlan! As you might imagine not a lot of people enjoyed the cold mechanic :D
