This is why I miss the old school arcades. You walk in and rather it be the lighting, the artwork, the music, or the demo playing on screen. The arcades would always draw you in and submerge you in the game. It was always the best way to test the game before you bought it for home consoles. While helping out a small business and the gaming company decided if it was worth making a home console version. A real piece of Americana we need to get back.

The contrast between the song for Jago's Bridge arcade version and the soundtrack version with the flute is a big contrast. Although both do sound really intense on their own instruments. One a flute and other a chinese guitar.

Yeah the bass instrument sounds like the same sample, they are about the same tempo and they both have lots of 'yeahs' in there. The melody is different through but its pretty interesting how similar they are.

As much as I love Killer Instinct, I never played the second game, as to me, it doesn't have the dark Mortal Kombat-like atmosphere as the original game. Being Rareware, it still has good music. I heard while it was made for N64 at home, an SNES version actually exists, but that 16-bit one was unreleased (and of course, by 1996, Super Nintendo was getting old).

I wish the SNES version of Killer Instinct 2 was released, but unfortunately, we'll never see that version of the game in the light of day. I'm curious of what the graphic would look like and what the music would sound like.

Grew Up Playing Ki one and 2 in the arcades loved the soundtrack for both games 2 was my favortie though. From Orchids Play hard to Gargous having a very Metallica holler than thou sounding theme just all around fit every character very well. Rare was on top of it back in the 90's sad to see Ki become what the x box one was its a shame really, though it had its fans too. But one and 2 will always have a place in my heart. can't even play my ki gold on n64 anymore cause my n64 always resets when i'm in the middle of a round, But will always remember the fun i had with Ki and the whole dkc triloigy as well. miss the old rare for sure. the stamper brothers made great games. I leave you with this. CCCCCCCCOMBOOOO BREAKER ULTRA Combo. Jogo wins Awsome victory.

The metal songs sound a little dated, even in the '90s, but it's wayyyy better than most video-game metal of the time. (And better than a lot of non-game metal, period, from before the mid-90s.) And the hip-hoppy stuff sounds realllly 1991 pop/dance, not gritty at all. It sounds good for that style, but it ain't appropriate stage music for an inner-city boxer with an eyepatch.
