Thanks for posting these! How did you know that you were supposed to sail a bit east of the cave with cryptic writing and press A at that rock? That's the part I was stuck at and didn't see any clues to indicate that's what was supposed to be done.

You can translate the cryptic writing (check the game's manual), or use the letters below the writing (left to right, top to bottom = A-Z). The old man in the house explains the background you need to know to understand the cryptic hint.

Just bought this. As someone keen on retro rpgs it's cool but insanely overpowered enemies in first hour of game. A little weird considering u can't grind anywhere. 8:30 I just reload save file and hope enemy misses.

I grinded at 8:30 using the shrine for healing and re-entering the cave. It's a good starting point

The first room of the mine is the perfect grinding point before the first major dungeon.
