Played AOE for a few days and was tempted to spend so I deleted it. I quit ROK because of excessive spending so didn’t want to go down that road again.

Yea that's a struggle. Let's see how AoE maintains the long term balance. ROK was infamous for steadily increasing p2w factor but 3yrs ago the greed took over and no amount of money was enough. Worst part...rok still took more and more time to do mundane tasks of account upkeep 🙄

I think you have to make a plan and stick to it. Like spending only for a certain event with a certain amount and only if it really helps you. Like having a top commander and you want to improve it. I usually work on my Comms for a long time and only jump to a new one if they're completely outdated

The most concerning part is not even the pay to win aspect of it or that companies keep dishing out these cash grab kind of games which lack substance and content, but the people who actually enable companies to do shit like that. I was really into ROK until Call Of Dragons came out. After I played COD I literally couldnt go back to playing ROK it was no longer enjoyable. Ive been playng Age Of Empires Mobile since it came out and I really dont get that same feeling. The graphics are nice and I do like the mini games (fishing and the one where you run around getting gems) I also like the commanders but what I dont like is the open field fighting I find it slow and boring. In COD everythings fast and smoothe In AOEM the fighting feels very different Im just not finding it fun. The game is also heavily PTW just like ROK and COD but its even worse in AOEM. After about a week of playing ill be hanging up my hat AOEM just doesnt do it for me I love Call Of Dragons and will be sticking with that. Good Video btw Dragothien!

Thanks for your comment, I think I might try COD based on what you shared. I'm currently playing Sea of Conquest, which is a pirate themed version of these kinds of games, I'm enjoying it, but after season 2 it gets tedious, it's also heavily PTW, which can be frustrating if you don't want to spend much.

Guys DO NOT listen to the lies in this video. You cannot play as a solo player. That’s absurd. You can’t play this game without spending money. Get real. And this game is totally a job. I’m playing it and played ROK for 3 years. I know this guy from ROK and used to make good content but this is incredibly misleading. Yea technically you can run Arthur/atilla/mulan but you really shouldn’t. Yeah you can try to not contribute to your kingdom but the entire kingdom don’t care what excuse or alliance youre in. They will take your resources and harass you til you move servers and same thing repeats. Just be honest this game is fun but it is a job and cost a lot of money

Wel I don't have any issue with playing it f2p. If don't care whether you are on top it's pretty fun. Maybe you should only play it if you can enjoy it even if you are only a mid-level performer

We have to focus on one march, save universals for months, all to have one barely good march bc the best marches are mightiest governor heroes or wheel heroes. It’s hilarious when content creators say ‘this is a free to play march bc it’s a wheel commander/hero’ haha wheels are p2w unless you save all your currency for months and then you still have to use all the universals you save….then the meta changes and your march sucks….

@@loveapplesthefruitsucks for them 😅 it’s smarter to just spend a limited amount a month than a massive amount in one sitting. What if you get bored after a few years? I spend several thousand on Diablo immortal and was frustrated that no matter how much I spend I always came across players who were stronger so it’s better to enjoy the game for what it is and just use discretion and moderation when spending. Kind of a subscription of sorts 😂🎉 already spending a little puts you ahead of the herd

To say this game to be f2p friendly as playing in the game since launch is somewhat untrue . you have 5 heroes behind a pay wall. 3 them of them are best of their troop type. The standard pull featured heroes are to be true shit to some degree. There is still to the time of comment there is a cap on alliance gifts . So screw the f2p more. But you have covered it well. Wish you success.

Viking Rise is RoK lite, very lite. The events aren't as good. The commanders are limited and have no depth to them like RoK. The constant spamming and pop ups make playing it annoying and frustrating.

I stopped playing RoK with close to 2200 days played, its been too tideous throughout the whole time plus the spending got out of hand in terms of crystal tech and armanements. How "good" or "bad" is AoE mobile compared to this game? Talking about top PvP
