That's my wife, Laura Ainsworth's, late father Bill Ainsworth (the guy with glasses) on clarinet in the photos, but I don't know if he's playing on this track. Sounds like him, though.

Do you happen to know where this came from or when it was aired? My wife is trying to figure out if her dad is on it. It sounds like him, and he played with the Ernie Felice Quartet on live dates around Los Angeles during this time. He met her mom when he was playing with them at the Tail O' The Cock restaurant.

Yes, I’ve heard about the restaurant but I don’t know if it was recorded there. I know that Ernie played with Benny Goodman but i don’t think he is at this recording. In that case the band would be called Benny Goodman quartet. I place my bet at Bill.

@@AccordionFever I looked up this radio show. It began in 1947, and my wife's dad didn't join until the mid-'50s, so I'm assuming that's Dick Anderson on clarinet.
