I want to have a genuine conversation with you about this. I agree this is a horribly traumatic occurrence that does happen, unfortunately it is a reality that is only becoming *more* relevant now than ever before. Our reproductive healthcare is going backwards, intentionally so by politics, it’s honestly disgusting how high our maternal mortality rate is given the wealth of our nation. But drag is inherently political, this is not a statement glorifying this action but saying this is the actions that privatized healthcare forces the poor to make. No one wants to do this. But the transphobia…that does not make it feel like you are someone who genuinely respects our community as a whole. If you genuinely feel that all trans women are men pretending to be women, please do not come into our communities trying to “support” us while still believing that bullshit
