JDCR 잡다님 솔직히 말하면 잡다님도 드라는 철권7 이후에 나온 캐릭터들에 비해 지금은 그리 안좋은 캐릭인거 인정하시네요 ㅋㅋ 솔직히 JDCR님이 실력이 사기라서 그런거지 노비도 드라 많이 안하는 거 보면 이젠 좀 한계가 있는 캐릭같아요 울산님이랑 할 때도 처음엔 항상 잡다님이 압도하고 이기는데 뒤로 갈수록 이지 걸 게 없고 아무것도 할 게 없어서 결국 말려죽는 경우가 많던데 대회에 나가신다면 다른 캐릭도 많이 고려해보셔야할듯

I feel like Dragunov got left behind. They nerfed his pressure when he was strong, then they buffed every other character to the point where they overtook Dragunov and he still hasn't been brought up to the new standard.

I feel as the game has progressed Dragunovs tools and game plan have become less prominent. It seems like every season newer characters have better pressure and better frames. It’s doesn’t help that they keep nerfing the tracking on running two. I honestly feel like the character needs better frames or tracking on some of his other moves. Even though he got a few buffs in season three they basically just gave him some of his old properties and frames from season one. They still lacks all the better frames and tracking they had in seasons one. I am surprised they haven’t nerfed Paul as much as Dragunov. In my opinion Paul needed the nerfs in seasons two not Dragunov. JDCR was the only one winning with the character.

Ariel Ariel Paul has so many low risk and high reward moves that players can just spam. Even his more punishable moves often require quick timing to punish. His damage is a bit too much for a character that has very little risk.

Honestly that's perfect for me,if dragunov is an honest character and is not too gimmickey or too many mix ups,he requires more fundamentals and outsmarting the opponent which sounds a very nice challenge for me.

Dragunov was the de facto character that represented the Tekken 7 less movement more aggression path that Namco took. Too bad the over season 2 and 3 the buffs to other characters and the new characters basically meant that even the defense characters can keep up with Drag or some of the others simply became better than him at his job. Oh and the new raid boss characters that can do everything 100x better than anyone, them too.

Totally agreed. Drag has no counterhit game whatsoever, the only thing I can think of is his 1 2 1 CH confirm, and even that is so much effort for so little reward. Also, his tracking isn't the greatest. With WR2 getting nerfed and his lack of a mid Homing move. It's hard to comfortably get in on a stepping opponent. (Unless you do ff3 and run the risk of getting ducked and launched). I can't wait to see you in tournament once this lockdown ends, and thanks for the uploads. Your insights on Tekken are priceless.

Really what's happened to Dragunov (as well as many other characters) is power creep in S3. He's less standout than he was before. There's a considerable gap between him and the current top5 characters in the roster. From JDCR's remarks, Drag is not as explosive as other characters.

Leroy and Fuckerman marks the end of the Greatest fighting game series ever made. Its sad really, but its true. Most of the old cast dont even compare in strenght to the new DLC chars, or the 2D chars for that matter too. T7 is in my opinion both one of the best(sales, number of players and good scene) and Worst in the series.

he honestly still feels like an S tier character to me, but theres two god tier characters in the game, Leroy and Fahk. if you compare drag to them of course hes hes lacking and "honest" but realistically hes prob still a top 10 character

I still find him very fun to play, and you can get pretty tricky with his faint grabs, and other faint moves to throw off opponents. I’ve played him since s1 and he is notably weaker both due to nerfs to his damage and frames and the dumb power creep coming out of mr raidboss and fukandram. And other balance changes he’s been left behind. I’d honestly put him in the mid of high. He’s not the monster he used to be, but can still be affective and fun.

The main move that got nerfed is down 2 everything else can be worked around, soon as a character isn’t brain dead easy people move on. For example Leroy is still strong because of all the tools they gave the character but what happened? He gets “nerfed” and you have to think more and people drop the character. Characters like ganryu gets 90-100 plus damage from a back sway or throw setups into an unblockable but nobody will know it because you have to think when using the character.

I agree with everything you said. Even when Drag was at his strongest in S1 he was a bit overrated IMO. JDCR says Dragunov lacks counter-hit move, tricky-setup and safe-launcher but he has always lacked in those areas since S1.

Nerfing it didn't make sense, plus on a 2-4 bar f4,4,3 into 4,4 can be inconsistent as well as another one of his screw options, outside of that every other screw option that is consistent ends up being weak in damage, my bnb went from 75 to 66/67 smh

People now are realizing Dragunov weaknesses since Bandai Namco release new characters in the game. Well people already dropped the character when he was nerfed in Season 2 which he was still strong after the nerf. But i really dont know if he should get buffed again cuz we already know scary Dragunov is when his one of the best characters in the game. If they do buff Dragunov to the point his one of the best characters in the game again he would just get nerfed immediately once someone wins a tournament with him. Its hard to find the perfect balance for the character tbh Also JDCR i wouldnt get mad if you dropped Dragunov for Leroy cuz you're a competitive player anyway so it makes sense for you to change characters

I have been saying this for a while but ppl still imagine that we are still in S1 and that the complaints aren't valid. The truth is if someone has good defense and manages to get a lead it is hard to comeback with Drag. Other characters have much higher mixup potential, crush potential, etc. Drag is a very honest, movement-based poking character which is less valuable the current iteration of the game.
