Who ever put the culvert in at the beginning of the video caused the water issue. The culvert is to high backing all the water up into the yards. You essentially rerouted the stream through this lady's yard. They should all contact a lawyer and proceed with litigation to get this corrected the proper way.
@eliteearthworksllc4 жыл бұрын
Chris Gentile the city put that in. The contractor that filled that site in 6’ is the one that screwed everything and the city let them so they won’t hardly do anything to help these people. I dug the ditch deeper and routed towards that pipe to keep more from going in her yard I just didn’t get it all on film. The neighbors don’t have enough money together to pay for the attorney fees. It’s really on the city the whole thing is bs
@machinemoverman46145 жыл бұрын
I think I would contact the army corp of engineers, I don’t think it’s legal to change the terrain and back water up on someone’s property. Even though it is the city, or its contractor. Just saying, my 2 cents worth.
@eliteearthworksllc5 жыл бұрын
Machinemover Man you are correct it’s a state law here. They have talked to the DNR too don’t seem to be getting any where. I’ll find out about the Corp of engineers. Cause this whole thing is bs and not fair to the homeowners

Who hired you to do this job...homeowner or city? This is clearly an error that the city should be responsible for. Tough luck for the homeowners but great content for your videos.
@eliteearthworksllc5 жыл бұрын
Keith Brettell the homeowners did. It’s a big mess with the city, the city okd the contractor to dump there but won’t do anything to fix the water problem except that little 18” pipe. And the homeowners don’t have enough money to come together to hire an attorney. It’s a bad deal all around
@shitloveaduck5 жыл бұрын
Hope a Philanthropist sees this video and pitches in! That would be an awesome story and maybe embarrass the city into being more proactive in the future! Now, if I just win the Lottery this weekend, move to the USA and pretend like I’m a nice guy,,,,,,,Hahaha. That last part is the hardest part!!! I look forward to seeing the end result!

@eliteearthworksllc5 жыл бұрын
Andy Powlesland I don’t think a french drain would do much for the amount of water that is there and is coming out of the ground. Need to get the site drained off first. Plus you can’t walk around on most of it with sinking to your knees.

That’s a job that requires you to wear many hats, and I’m not even referring to the great looking distressed Dirt Perfect hat either. First off the obvious of being a very skilled excavator operator then you need to be a plumber to know $#!+ flows downhill then you need to be an archeologist to understand what you’re digging through and then you need to be a detective to figure out where all the water is coming from in the first place and finally an engineer to design a drainage system to keep the water out and away from the customers yard. Being able to figure out what the previous contractor was thinking might require psychic powers if you want to go that far.
