We used to go up to the dam when I was little. It looks so not normal there right now.😄 And I still have seen people fishing there the last two times we went that way.

I looked at an old map of polk county and found the road that goes across the lake bottom. Thank you for taking a video of the bridge. I'd like to get down there to see it but I'm up near Fort Smith so it'll be a whole day event for me and my family. Do you have to get a permit to walk out there? I read that we had to do something for Conway.

No there are no permits needed that I know of. It’s an awesome experience, so definitely would be worth the trip down here to see it!

Whats the purpose of them draining it? Certainly a great opportunity to get an eye on where to fish! They postponed my work trip so ill keep in touch with you when i get details

The pipe through the dam is leaking, so they have to drain it to fix it properly! And they’ll be adding a dock, and several more bank fishing access points around the lake while it’s down!

And yes holler anytime. Now that the baby is a little older, it’ll be a little easier to slip away when you come through!
