Dr Sahab can we use SSTI drug like Duricef to stop chicken pox? Because it's penetration in skin blisters fluid is 6 hours! I am from GSK and also promoting Duricef and my little kid is suffering now from chicken pox. Bazurg kehty hain isay rokna nahe chahiye. Apki kya raye hai please reply me. Jazak Allah

Thank you so much for reaching out to us. first of all please understand it is a viral disease and duricef is an antibiotic. we need antibiotics in chicken pox only if we think that bacterial infections are complicating the chicken pox blisters. so if puss filled blisters then can be used. secondly don't think it can stop chicken pox. it ca not. bazurg to isko saya samajhtay hain. so please educate them as well. you can not stop it by any medicines you can just treat in time to avoid scarring and complications.

Doctor, I am 22 years old. I have got this chickenpox disease dont know how. Its been 5 days since it started with a high fever and running nose. I got fever and cough medicine right there and then next day the scars started to appear and then got to extreme level. Now the fever down and scars are towards ending but there is still lot of Mucus build in my throat. I wanted to know still how much time more till i get completely healthy. And will the throat also get clear with time or i need to use some medicine?

Actually it goes better in 3 weeks normally but please careful with scars as once deep you can't get rid of them. Then you need laser and surgery

We are happy for your genuine concern. Well chicken pix ek viral disease hai jo k saans k rstay spread krta hai. Touch krnay se nahi phail skta. Na hi ghar ki kisi cheez pr is k germs reh sktay hain. You just don't worry. There are more than 90% chances k ye disease ap mn se kisi ko dubara nahi hogi jinn ko bhi ho chuki. Iski immunity acchi bn jati hai. Hope it helps you.
