I came to terms with saying y’all miss the old drake and wishing this version of him would come back is ignorance and stupidity and it also shows your incompetence for growth and changes in life. Truth is drake was 21 YEARS OLD WHEN HE DROPPED THIS and that not to even mention when he recorded this wrote the ryhmes etc which could probably set the clock back a year or 2 so let say he maybe was around 19-20 when he recorded this, that means y’all want a now near 40 year old man to sound like how he did at 20 when he was living in his moms basement helping her pay bills and had just stoped becoming an actor to purse his true dreams in rap. If you think about it that make zero sense I know we hear his flows the ryhmes and youth in his voice we wish drake now would emulate that but he has grown astronomically since then. Drake is an anomaly and what he has done over his 15-16 year run isn’t duplicated by literally any, imagine is drake staying in one lane and kept this same old school flow he would’ve gotten left in the past like most of the guys that came up in the game with him. Drake has been such a prominent relevant rapper because of his adaptability and how he can fit in in any situation. So remember one of the cardinal reasons y’all love drake is also something y’all hated on him for but in the end drake and his true fans will always win because they give him the time of day and listen and analyze the lyrics. The truth his drake speaks his life in his songs he never lies nor does he claim to be anything he’s not he just speaks on what’s going on in his life at the moment and at this very moment he was a young hungry up and coming rapper trynna make it in the game tbh I don’t even know if he meet wayne yet at this time but tht besides the point because now he’s a damn billionaire and has remained relevant in rap for over 15-16 years through his longevity so ask yourself this when you say you miss the old drake do you really miss the old drake or do you just miss where u where in life when drake was making these songs because drake has elevated and never fell off since
