Travis barkers playing has made 4 rock bands extremely successful made countless rap songs better than a computer could. If you hate on this man its out of jealousy. When one listen to some of the great drummers god has blessed us with one easily discovers travis leaves a lot to be desired. This guy can't even do 1/20th of what buddy rich was capable of. We just associate travis with good drumming because he's associating himself with the popular music figures today. The reality is when you really listen to a lot of drummers from ALL time periods. Travis doesn't come near the talent they could showcase. Even in the "showmanship" type of drumming.

Look at the complexity of buddy's solo and try to actually find me even one performance where Travis even comes close to that kind of skill. I won't claim buddy is the best drummer ever. But Travis does not belong up there with the legends in terms of skill, only in terms of fame, which really only matters to people outside the drumming community.

Agreed with the last few comments. Have followed him through his Aquabats and now Blink days. I don't think anyone is saying he's the best ever, but his talent is up there. A lot of versatility considering the genres he drums for (Aquabats, Blink, Box Car Racer, +44, Transplants, Expensive Tastes, and doing some rap). Hell, what he did some country recently, too (on, ugh, American Idol). Just a guy who loves drumming and very well at that.
