The year is 2011. Drake announced Take Care and killed the whole summer. School had just started back up. I had just broke up with a girl and I was chasing another, getting together right after Take Care dropped and that was our album. Drake has the ability to take you back in time with his music. That’s one of the things that makes him a legend.

Views was a break from the typical Drake we've seen, definitely very pop in its nuances & some of its production etc. But watch interviews of Drake from 2008- all the way to now. And what he says is still and who he is is still the same. He is a rapper. I have a good feeling that the next record he releases will be some solid rap. 4pm in Calabasas came out in the summer, and that is def a rap song. Not typical of past Drake per se, but it is definitely rap, not pop.

Mediocre rapper and a little below average singer with mediocre ghostwriters and good producers. Does not make him the "greatest." He's the definition of average but you guys just love his tone and beats so damn much, that you can't see the obvious smh. This guy knows how to make catchy music without question but the talent is no where on par with the greats you drake fans compare him to on a talent based level. Just like Rick Ross fans, they can't see passed his tone and beats and get to the content, stories, lyrical ability, which isn't good or great but very mediocre to poor when you dissect their rhymes. Both are very mediocre rappers who can make catchy music and that's about it. Also, not every song that gets stuck in your head means it's a good song even if the beat is great and that's the main problem I have with Drake and Ross fans. Both Drake and Rick Ross don't have a definitive classic album for a reason. They are mediocre rappers with poor or weak concepts and content, with filler lines and songs but y'all eat it up everytime. Their mediocre at best and their discographies are pretty weak as well.
