It's kind of a relief to hear Drake say early in the interview that some nights they struggle to come up with something. There's frustration, pointless nights ETC. As a producer and a writer I get a lot of those nights and they can be extremely disheartening and frustrating. It's kind of relieving to know that people such as Drake & 40 go through the same thing.

Yes sir, I've been searching for this comment. Been listening to Drake since Room For Improvement.. Then went on to Comeback Season and then so forth.. It was all him singing and telling stories about life. Being himself and not trying to be somebody else. I don't know what people were expecting from Views, perhaps hard club, booty shaking music? Nah. That type of music dies quickly. If I'm anything, I'm a day one Drake fan and I take pride in that.. Views was everything any REAL fan would've wanted from him and would never talk down on any of it. Sincerely fan since 2006.

this should be posted as a review... since he came out with those 09 r&b records I've been a fan more of his singing than rapping because that feels more relatable, that feels closer to the real drake than anything and that's what made me a fan. I haven't heard the album but if it's anything like trust issues, fall for your type, what if I kissed you and I get lonely too... then this album will be fire

VIEWS is a genuine moment, in my opinion. Feels like Drizzy has gotten the uncertainty out of his system, in respect to his sound. Embracing his own idiosyncrasies and it's evident. Good work fam, respect.

That's not the the problem is what you don't understand. It's not good because the music isn't good. It has nothing to do with singing. Take Care is considered to be his best album and he sings for most of it. So you're argument is false. People don't like the album because the music just isn't good. NWTS is my favorite album of his and that's old drake. No one is mad that he is singing, I'm mad that the melodies he is singing don't fit the song or aren't good

So weird when you can notice how Aubrey Graham acts, talks and carries himself so differently compared to the way Drake talks/raps, acts and carries himself. I feel like whenever Drake raps, he is acting more like his stage name but when he sings he acts more like Aubrey Graham.

How's that shit weird? You want the nigga to be all hype while he's just casually talking in a casual interview? Pull up a Cole or Kendrick interview, they're calm and chill af compared to some of their tracks they're hype on. The nigga is an artist so if he's feelin like he's the shit he's gon rap, if he's feelin some type of way then he's gon sing. Someone can't feel or act the same all the time so his music won't either.

Nah I feel like every album receives this similar response. With Drake this time around people were expecting bangers, but he gave that that retro Drake that a lot of people didn't really like much. They wanted him to spit heat, not sing on most of the tracks. I think it's an ok album, but nothing new, just Drake being Drake. Playing it safe and moving the chips right.
