I think it's a 50/50. Like he wanted the soul-r&b vibes like this one but not a full album of this. Like for example Champagne Poetry, Fair Trade, Get Along Better has that same soul-r&b vibes, so he didn't fully scrap it. But alot of the other tracks with the same vibe was scrapped.

That’s really the consensus with a lot of knowledgeable people in the industry. Who knows , I will say this he definitely didn’t expect to release it this way. The pandemic definitely ruined things along with his health issues. Laugh now cry later was in my opinion the lead single then boom Covid and his injury. I think he’ll drop anther album sooner rather then later.

That's the best version of Drizzy where he truly excels. Something like More Life or Take Care or mix between these 2 would be great. Artistically he still has 1/2 stages to delve into. That should be the goal now, cause number wise he'll rock anyday of the year.
