It’s frustrating being a Drake fan when all people know is “Hotline Bling” and “In My Feelings”. People make fun of Drake without ever hearing songs like “Omertà” and “Diplomatic Immunity”.

Diplomatic immunity is fire but drake still is not worth the hype, how dare people even compare him to rappers such as Kendrick.
@TheJmsJose97
@TheJmsJose97 4 жыл бұрын
@@Jake-gw6yg because he cant be Kendrick. In his lane, Drake is comparable to the greats. There should be ZERO doubt about it. Guy has various undenied classics. Not talking about pop hits either. His discrediting of writing is dismissive. And statisticslly, only a short % of his catalouge is proven to have cowriters on his raps.

He’s definitely talking about his pops. That intro was when his dad was on ig live and started talking all this shit about drake going behind his back. Throughout his life he’s tried reconnecting with his dad multiple times but due to substance abuse & Dennis constantly talking behind drakes back to media outlets and what not, trying to drag drake through the dirt, I feel like this song is drake saying he’s finally done with trying to fix things. Just my opinion

Yea thats what i thought. It sounded like the bitter relationship between him and his dad, since his dad wanted to be a musician as well. So if drake was able to provide for his family to prosper, his dad fucked it up over and over again and didnt reap any of the benefits.

Man this song was the best one to me, just because I could relate. For me, a lot of the lines had me thinking about my ex. I spoiled her, brought her up from the bottom, I truly believed she was gold, gave her nothing but the truth, yet still I lost her to the game. She betrayed my trust even though I gave her everything. All good though, I came to realize that I never lost her, she lost me.

He is talking about A Woman or Women...Kanye and some other Rappers.... Other folks we don’t even but those people know who they are. His Wordplay and metaphors are very intricate cause he knows exactly what he’s saying. So much hidden meanings

He's talking about OVO Ryan, that's why he says " Started From The Bottom, Now you alone there " ..... at least at the end. In 2017 OVORyan aka Ryan Silver Stein his first cousin who is family. No doubt he also makes a few references to The Weeknd Able , UNI TY = UNITY... It was You and I with out the TY. OVO Ryan... back to him... @ovoryan stopped posting in 2017... the beginning maybe a bit of a dig at his father however this was recorded after his father reconnected with him. So I am thinking, he added the father part in the beginning as a sample because he couldn't go in and edit the song/ didn't want to because of the gold which is his lyricism. There's a lot I could go deep into about the verses, but it's about Jorje (his ex who left she couldn't handle the attention.) The masked face could be about Kanye, they're neighbors. I think Ryan however sold him out said some info to make some money. Perhaps even the ghostwriting info to Meek Mill.
