Agree 100%. What tue Mac apologists don't understand is that Mac never had leadership qualities and had terrible mentality for a qb. Mayo did pretty damn good for his first draft and I think the energy that is being brought to this team is something we haven't seen in a long time and Mayo is a real players coach and I feel like everyone's going to want to play for him. It's great to actually see the Patriots be actual human beings lol I've been a pats fan since we were going to 2-14 so lol it's nice to see some life being brought back in. This is the only draft pick i thought the patriots hit on. The others I have to wonder what they were thinking. With their 34th pick their was still top 10 defensive talent, especially at the corner and safety positions. Taking Ja'Lynn Polk at 34 is reminiscent of the Tyquan Thornton pick.

The secondary has gaping holes. they lost jalen mills in FA and their best player in the secondary (Christian Gonzales) has approx 6 games of pro football experience. Dugger being the only other anchor. Not to mention last year they also had arguably the best defensive minded coach of all time as their head coach.

He’s about 2 years away. They need to coach him up for the nfl. Footwork, reading defenses, quicker release, and decision making all needs to drastically improve. Too many of theses guys fail He’s no guarantee for success Look at Mac Jones Everyone was so high on him and he failed miserably He was overwhelmed by the pro game

Reading defenses is his biggest strength Mike, he has the highest processing/anticipation grades of any QB in this draft, your correct on footwork & release but not even close on reading defense, I’ve had to hear any scout say that, he does it better then anybody
