Man… I hate to say this. Let me preface what comes next by saying that I’ve been a fan of ya’ll since this channel started getting into rock and metal years ago. Your Tool, Metallica, and even your love-hate (hate-hate?) relationship with the progressiveness of Dream Theater has made your honest reactions amazing and entertaining as hell. One of the most overlooked bars: Right before the A minor B sharp run he says "drake is not a name youll see on any sex offender list- easy does it-" Drake makes a referenxe to the Eazy E track Eazy Duz It, which was sampled by Metro on Like That. The context makes it clear that Drake is alluding to Eazy E and the rest of NWA having some extreme allegations and charges brought against them by a 16 year old girl who claimed that she became pregnant after being sexually assaulted by them. NWA's track She Swallowed It includes lyrics about getting head from a 14 year old girl who sucks like a professional. So when he says Easy does it, he is reminding kendrick of yet another group of his own idols whom have been accused of the things Kendrick accuses drake of- with much crazier circumstances to back it up, such as Prince marrying a girl he adopted at age 16, MJ having kids sleep in his bed with him, R. Kelly on videotape, etc etc. Kendrick has defended these people and is currently attcking drake with FAR less incriminating evidence.

There is another reaction video that I mention about this. I think Drake knew how powerful that bar was and if he expanded on it, this beef would have been over right there even though it wouldn't necessarily make him a saint. I think he was just afraid of the backlash he would receive from the Hip Hop community and the streets. Seeing many reaction videos even from those who carefully listen at bars and they all ignored it is really telling. I think there is a great hypocrisy on this subject. The Heart Part 6 has some amazing bars in there and this is the track he went straight at Kendrick also. Usually I have a lot of respect for these guys lyrical breakdowns, mainly because every other time that I've heard them, they were pretty neutral with their takes. first off, I love y’all. Been watching since the logic-thons, my go to channel forever. I could see from the beginning that the way Drake was rapping would be received more positively, the slick talk and punches and all that. It’s consistent with your past reviews for sure. And as an admitted huge fan of Kendrick and not much of a fan of Drake, Drake put in some work on all these tracks rapping. BUT, I will say the Mother I Sober part feels as though you’re kiiinda writing the meanings for Drake there, as you said Kendrick fans were on euphoria.
