Drakengard 2 - Growing Wings (Fixed Version)

I actually know nothing about this game and this soundtrack. Just found it on KZbin and this song is gorgeous, but it's felt uncompleted.
So I remake it. Tell me if I have made some of the mistakes in this song/video.

I'll just put this down since I like to make scenarios in my head when I listen to music like this. Also, thanks for making this a better version with the ending I'm imagining a couple that have participated in a major battle, fighting side by side. Then, once the battle has ceased, either one of them has been fatally wounded, or both of them are fatally wounded. It then ends with them facing the sky as the sun shines on a bloody battlefield, and them being ignored by everyone else

This song compells me to write this, given ending B. Let's think about it for a moment. The true strength of the gods lies in the scheming. If not, Mikhail and Zero would have ended them millenia ago. Perhaps even Brother One. If I must truly suffer this game, then I choose to believe ending B is the canon one. It's the one that makes the most sense, given Manah knows the burden Nowe would receive if he received the New Breed gift. Do not forget she's still traumatized by that event.

I noticed in the description u said u don't know anything about Drakengard. It's extremely underrated and a lot of people hate the second game, mostly for not being directed by the dude who did the first game and cuz it's not as depressive as the first. Personally, I love both and they're both quite nostalgic for me. I don't know if you would like them as the story is bland in 2 and the gameplay sucks in 1, but if u can somehow look past all that, then they're both good in their own ways

I actually got this song from KZbin recommendation or the random playlist. I'm kinda surprised for the music itself, might as well curious a bit about the origin of the game. Idk why the original song is not full/perfect as the whole soundtrack, made me frustrated. Only I know that the drakengard games are somehow connected from the NieR games, which I also don't know about them at all. Some said that NieR got nice soundtrack. Curious to find out both of the games and songs.

@@dawgymusiz8765 my comment is about to be really long winded but plz bear with me, I really love these games. All the Drakengard (Drag-on Dragoon in JP) and Nier games imo have godly OSTs. 1 has a very unhinged and deranged soundtrack but that works in the games favor. Most, if not, all of the ost is very repetitive but I personally love that. The song you posted, Growing Wings. In the first game, u hear just how deranged it sounds compared to the 2nd one where it's really beautiful. All the games have really orchestral sounding music which I really love and 1 and 2 have that in spades so I always come back to listening to them. DoD 3 has my particularly favorite theme, The Final Song, and it's a phenomenal piece of music. Never played the game myself since it's locked to ps3 but I have no intention to. Tho I do hope the games get remade at some point since DoD 1 and 2 are also locked to ps2. Also, how DoD ties into Nier is cuz of a joke ending in the 1st game, meant to be a reference I think to the end of Evangelion. Nier was able to get off the ground thx to Drakengard, which was very niche so it was quite surprising and admirable. But anyways, Nier Automata came out in 2017 and blew so many soundtracks out of the water, winning best score during the game awards that year. Nier Replicant has an amazing ost as well but Automata was truly magnificent when I first played it last year. So yea. If u do ever get into the games, all 3 Drakengard games are locked to older gen consoles but if you play PC, you can install a ps2/3 emulator to play them. Luckily, the nier games are readily accessible anywhere so you'll have an easy time playing them. The first 2 DoD games are very nostalgic for me and Nier games are on another level when it comes to storytelling. Like I said, DoD 1 is just frustrating to play for a lot of people but Yoko Taro's (the director of every DoD/Nier game, except for 2) method of storytelling keeps people engaged. 2's story isn't that good but I personally don't focus on it since the gameplay is a lot more enjoyable from the first. 3 I know has decent combat and pretty good story and humor but is brought down by the ps3's frequent frame drops and doesn't play all that well. Idk anything about the first Nier, but Automata is the perfect game out of all of them and Replicant is incredibly good itself. You can look at reviews of the game if u so choose to get a real look at the games and others opinions on it

Lol, didn't expected of the long comment. But thx for the info u shared to me. I have been considered before about listening to the NieR & Drakengard whole soundtrack album, not yet to listen but the most I've have looking into it. I'm not much of a gamer cuz only of the limitation of performance and gaming in my (worst ever/poor) pc. Thx very much for that. Anyway, 'The Final Song' is gorgeous, remind me of the anime ost "Kara No Kyoukai", which is also great.

@@dawgymusiz8765 yea lmao clearly I had a lot to say about them. Not many people in my circle talk or even know about them (besides Nier, they enticed me to play it) but I love them to death. Also wow the song sounds very similar to it in a way. I like it

This is the best version of this song fo sure. Thank you so much. And I definitely recommend you to play Drakengard and Nier games if you love really cool stories in games.

Honestly I feel like this loses the emotional darkness and empty feeling of the original. It tries to replace it with a more depressing and somber score but... I just... I know OG Drakengard's OST is a certified schizophrenic classic but i don't think i like this version more than the og. The emotional burden and emptiness of the singer's vocals in my opinion far better match the looming dread that the original score strikes in my veins.

To me, it's just that the end of the original song seems not sound right. That very end is originally separated for the soundtrack. Edit: Just found out that other version's ending part is different, just a little odd for me.
