The amount of talent that converged to make this is unbelievable. Written by Marvin Gaye, who's also playing the drums, with Mickey Stevenson and Ivy Jo Hunter. The Funk Brothers just killing it. The Vandellas really delivering the vocals, and the moves! Especially Martha, look at that smile, that attitude. I even tip my hat to whoever directed the main video here, and the cameramen, who caught it just right. For my money, it doesn't get any better.

This song is so awesome!! It had the greatest beat! It reminds me of a day at work when me & Beverly were listening to this song & dancing around the kitchen singing. I was singing into a spoon & Beverly had a spatula. We were getting down when the assistant CEO of the hospital came in with a big wheel from the corporate office. Beverly froze but I kept going because they were behind me & I didn't know they were there. I turned around & stopped. All of a sudden the big wheel looked at Garon ( the assistant CEO) & he grinned & said " Well at least they enjoy their jobs!!" Garon looked at him & shook his head & laughed & said " you just don't know the half of it!" Lol Garon was always telling me I had missed my calling that I should've been a comedian. Lol Yes those were such fun happy times! Thanks to all the ladies bands they were all awesome & they did all of us very proud!!! ❤

I didn't know this Motown group did this song. I thought it was Bowie n jagger, im only 37 born December 1981 so im happy to know now after being at Motown the Musical theatre show in Scotland . Such a great track to dance to, its hard not to want to move to it. Also thought that you cant hurry love was a phil collins song ,its the supremes. I stand corrected .soo much talent at Motown and soo much quality music . Michael Jackson still my all time favourite by a distance . Nobody excites me or moves me emotionally or to dance like MJ, the most special sweet man in my eyes and his talent was off the charts. I miss him, i love him. Ill take his music and memories to my grave .mj is a big part of my life and his music dance n message of love has made my life better. But a big thank u to all the Motown stars for sharing their gift and soulful music which was pure and tasteful, all about love n respect .peace ,lets continue to spread Motown n MJ for future generations to have quality soulful music

That this was considered a protest song utilized by the Black panthers and H.Rap Brown at some of their rallies. Isn't it ironic that what this song was trying to convey way back then. People across the nation dancing in the streets, we ain't dancing but we're out in the streets together united trying to bring about change. RIP to all the fallen and I hope they are reaping the rewards of the martyrs that they are.

This was a great week for dancing in the streets. I went into the front yard and did the Snoopy Happy Dance! Neighbors looked at me like I was crazy. (I live in a red state).
