White walls are great cause it lights up the room, dark walls make it seem like a dark strip club. Drake probably went for black because it looks very exclusive. For normal houses black painted walls look shit

Light colors saves on electricity costs and easier to see at night. White also gives a more spacious feel than any darker colors.
