I must say, I think Hollyleaf would be a good part of the power of three. She always respected the warrior code, and was strict following it. I think she would be a proud cat, who does everything to protect her clan. She also was a smart cat I think. The thing with Squirrel and Bramble not being her parents, made her blelieve even more that she is not one of the three. If Hollyleaf really had a power, and found that out before Squirrel said the truth, I think she wouldn´t have killed Ashfur. And if we say the truth, LionPAW was also a cat who loved the fight. He barely killed Crowfeather. (what means everyone has his flaws, JayPAW was also "spying" in the dreams of other cats.) Dovewing is, for me, totally the opposite of Hollyleaf. She always feared the prophecy, was always a bit to touchy for me, and (I am not sure if the others think like that too) too selfish. Like, after the journey in the first book of oots, she always wanted to visit her friends ;-; so she just walked into Windclans territory in the middle of the night ._. Or if Lionblaze said, Dovepaw should "spy" her clanmates if they are training in the dark forest. But she said: (noisy) no I don´t spy my clanmates and my friends outside of Thunderclan territory. I felt like: Okay, so your sis is training with the most evil cats in the forest, they could "just" kill the cats in a war, and because you don´t want to look who is training, the cats could die. ._. She also broke the warrior code, as she fell in love with Tigerheart and they saw echother really often. ;-; I don´t know how you think about this, maybe you LOVE Dovewing, it is just my opinion ;)

+Moonsoul I honestly prefer Hollyleaf, TBH. :'D And while it frustrates me that the reason she isn''t one of the Three was thanks to a lack of proper planning, I will admit, part of the reason I like her so much stems from the fact that she isn't one of the Three. She grows up as a character, and ends up getting some of the best character development in the series.

I loved Hollyleaf. I loved the fact she was dedicated to the code. When I read Hollyleaf's story, I became even more attracted to her as a character. She never wanted to kill Ashfur, but, when she said could she tell the clans, Ashfur snapped and attacked her. She killed him in self defense.

+DJ English (Ghost Wolf) but in Book 6 of the power of three, Jayfeather saw in Hollyleaf`s memory, that she wanted to kill Ashfur. Ashfur didn´t saw her because he was hunting. She followed him. Then, at the river, she jumped from a stone on Ashfur. Hollyleaf was putting his shoulders down with her front paws,and then she was biting (I hope I spelled it right) into his throat. That means she wanted him to die, right?

+ImDelusional art +Moonsoul Because the secret was very different by the time she killed Ashfur to the time she spilled it. On one hand, the secret Ashfur would have told implicated her and her siblings as merely not clan-born. This revelation would have ruined Squirrelflight and her and her siblings because they were not Clan-born, and would have ruined ThunderClan's reputation. ThunderClan was already criticized for taking in non Clan-born cats, so being less "pure" would have been a huge blow had it come out. However, the real secret which Hollyleaf found out _after_ she had killed Ashfur was that they were both HalfClan and Medicine cat kits. This shattered the Warrior code to her, which she was obsessed with, and keeping it a secret would mean the two cats that broke the code so badly (Crowfeather and Leafpool) would have gone unpunished. So, no, it's not as black and white as "Oh, what an idiot." Plus, she feels guilt and shame for killing Ashfur, even though let's face it, she was completely justified in killing a traitor and an attempted murderer. Seriously, he tried to kill Firestar (which should have gotten him killed/exiled, had that secret ever come out), but he also tried to kill three cats at once to satisfy some stupid vendetta, _one of whom was the BLIND medicine cat._ Vicky even stated that she regretted putting Ashfur in StarClan, and I concur. That's nothing he deserves. xD

Sorry for the wall of text, everyone. xD It just bothers me when people mix up a character's motivations, especially one as complex as Hollyleaf, and view the issue as black and white without any shades of gray.

Hollyleaf wasn't one of my favorite characters, in my sense. She seemed too obsessed with the rules and a little too naive. There was never a cat who took it more seriously than her, and I didn't necessarily like that.
