So Bang decided to let her do her own thing and she started Ador. Alot of what Ador has was originally from Source music. They basically took everything from Source Music from directors/trainees/producers. The only major one who stayed was the performance director Amy Soyeon who went to Le Sserafim. 4 members of NJ were SM trainees. I think only Hyerin was an actual MHJ pick. Yunjin was also heavily rumored to be a New Jeans member since she trained with Hanni and Minji but got cut since MHJ wanted to go with younger concept with NJ. That was Yunjin's last hope so she basically quit being an idol and went back to school. Source Music was basically gutted at this point and was losing money since they didn't really have anybody. SM basically paid for most of NJ training period before they left for Ador. Gfriend also disbanded a little bit after this all went down. So Bang got heavily involved and started his own girl group Le Sserafim. I don't really see her being behind Garam but seeing how MHJ basically screwed over Source Music. Bang then went on to do his own thing and make Le Sserafim which ended up saving Source Music after they made it profitable a year after their debut. MHJ being as narcissist as she is, LSF sucess no doubt pissed her off.

Even hanni herself said that after seeing that video of minji she auditioned. We know yunjin was trainees with hanni. Min heejin was only hired to work as the creative director. Whatever lineup, it was actually to be debuted under source music so basically alot of the trainees were under sm. Later ador was created as a subsidiary label by hybe and made mhj ceo. Alot of trainees were probably transferred then. Now that the global audition was completely gone and wasted, i bet sm lost a lot of money on it. No wonder Lesserafims lineup had 2 experienced idols + yunjin who's experienced as well in the industry. Only 2 members were new. It was easy to pick things up than start from scratch.

I just hate that MHJ keeps on bringing other groups names in this conversation. She brought in ILLIT,RIIZE, and TWS saying how all three of them copied he look. Yeah ILLIT looks really similar to Newjeans’s concept, but this whole drama started because she was doing illegal activities like giving away information of trainees, healthcare information, and family information, and there’s also rumors about how she was the one that was leaking information about other HYBE groups to makes hybe reputation bad. This whole drama should just leave out other K-pop groups and have the idols enjoy what they worked hard for (including Newjeans), and just try solving problems without bringing in the idols.

Bang Si Hyuk, the founder of Hybe is playing dirty by framing MHJ trying to betray Hybe. In fact, he is the one who discriminate Newjeans. He strongly opposed MHJ’s NJ concept in term of selection of members & debut songs (Attention, Ditto). He also once forced MHJ to take Sakura & Chaewon into her first Hybe girl group when MHJ first entered Hybe, but was denied by MHJ. (Sakura & Chaewon didn’t match the vibes MHJ wanted for her girl group project). Bang took this personally and hated MHJ eversince. He never took group photo with NJ members, neither congratulate them despite of their oustanding perfomance worldwide. Instead he is using Lesserafim and Illit, the girl groups he created to compete with NJ. Now since he is debuting Illit with the concept similar to NJ, it is clear that he try to play dirty to disband MHJ and Newjeans because he just cannot defeat NJ (such as recent bad reputation of Lesserafim in Coachella perfomance). He is a man with big ego, refuse to lose to a woman.

Well, according to her press conference, min hee jin joined hybe at source music to form a new girl group. At source music, only trainee she found suitable for the group she wanted to make was minji. Others were too old or not that skilled for the group she had in mind. So, source music held auditions for this new min hee jin group where they found other members of newjeans. Newjeans was to be the first girl group to debut under hybe. Then, somewhere around in 2021, former i*zwon members, who already had fan base sakura and chaewon joined hybe. And Bang si hyuk wanted to form a group around them, as he had (according to mhj press conference) plans of 'crushing' aespa. And of course a group with already two famous members had more probability to do well than a brand new group. But, according to mhj she didn't want to discard newjeans, as members had worked very hard for debut and their parents were worried too. So, as a solution hybe subsidiary ador was formed, mhj was a paid ceo then (and i assume, no shares then). Min hee jin claims to have paid the training costs of members to source music. Lesserafim debuted first and got the promotion as first gg ubder the label. According to mhj since then Bang si hyuk and hybe sabotaged her. They didn't let her promote newjeans before debut, hence the sudden debut. When, Newjeans entered billboard charts with omg, much before lesserafim's easy she was sent sarcastic message "are you enjoying this?" by bang si hyuk. Mhj claimed that new jeans was never promoted as much as their labelmates. And she continuously faced workplace bullying. Then, illit was formed under be:lift lab which is a joint venture between bighit and cjenm, enhypen is also under them. Which mhj claimed copied her formula (in an interview, she stated that it's not y2k style she is talking about, it's her formula, her interpretation of 2000's y2k, they blatantly copied that too under the same label). Hybe trying to end the existence of newjeans by debuting a group with almost same concept in the parent company. She claimed that illit 's choreography is too similar to newjeans. When, she raised these questions inside the company, they triedto accuse her of usurping management rights when it's damn clear to anyone that no one can do it with only 20%in shares. They have been media playing by accusing her of statements she never made, like bts, tws, riize copied her and things she had nothing to do with like shaman, making her into a weird person so that nobody believes her as she already doesn't have that good of image whereas she is just trying to get justice for new jeans. Sorry for the long comment, but it was a long conference. Well no side is flawless, but sentiments of korean netizens are right now with mhj as she seems like every other korean office worker who is victim of office politics. I don't know much about this drama because we don't know what's going on between the companies just by these things. Tbh this mess can be bigger than we thought and frkm tbjs we cannot say necessarily that hybe at fault or ador or min hee jin. Anything is possible. But I just know this, illicit being copy of NJ did seem true. It's not only about only concept or photos but their whole look, personality seemed to be based on NJ. I remember seeing one of the clips of illicit at some fashion week and I was like, Oh it's new jeans. After looking at it clearly I realised they were not and it's even before their debut. Being associated with a group and being their complete copy is different and it's the company and people behind it for causing this. Hybe is not a small company tbh that they have to do this. Rather than choosing a concept and look suitable for them, they chose a easy way to copy NJ. But it's only going to be harmful to the girls because one can copy looks and concept but not talent. I just hope from tbe drama between two companies, both groups doesn't get affected. Illicit just started their career and nj is already soaring high in their career and cannot afford such conflict at rhis movement.
