Probably the best soccer game ever. France should be proud of their team they fought all the way. It was such a battle till the last second. Oh yes the "waltzing Matilda song. " It's a crazy old ballad about a man who steals a sheep and gets caught. He is takes his life rather than surrender to police. You learn this song when you are 5 years old. It almost became the national anthem . Once a jolly swagman camped by a billabong. Under the shade of a coolibah tree. Troopers : police Jumbuck : a sheep. Tucker bag: food bag It's a silly funny song that reflects the complex early origins in Australia. It reflects the lack of respect for authority in the Australian psyche. That you would rather die than give yourself up to police. It also glorifies and disrespects the squatter. The squatter who actually doesn't own the land yet has taken control and has the police on his side. It's holding a finger up to the so called respectable members of society. It illustrates what is truly valuable which is freedom and not being owned by others. The person who is glorified is the itinerant roving worker who believes he has a right to take a sheep if he is hungry. The fact that he would rather die than have his freedom taken away illustrates the essence of the Australian spirit. A carefree wild sense of freedom that will not be owned or bend to others rules. A person who lives life with their own set of ethics and has no respect for the so called authorities. Please feel free to disagree with me. Cheers

Say what you want..this what i saw not happen..why not use the var ..like the men..i saw French player kick in the face..potential red card..i saw a hand ball in the box..potential penalty..saw a goal refused for what ever reason 4 players around French player .and goal by Kennedy..saw a foul on a french player in the box potential penalty..saw an Australien player foul french player 4 times in a row no yellow…yes one side game for sure..now loosing by penalty…is not a win on the field..but playing another team and the ref…hum..where was the VAR….
