I’ve seen BCS since Day 1 but if I am being honest, Succession is made with perfection, the acting, music, directing and writing makes it critics favourite easily. As for BCS fans I would like to say not winning an Emmy doesn’t make a show bad, The Wire is the perfect example.

Actually there is a category called: Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music, this is a technical award that is given days before the main awards's ceremony with other minor categories. Succession won this award on 2019 with his first season, it can't be nominated again unless it has another theme music.

I love Succession. It's one of my favourite shows on air at the moment and I couldn't be more pleased that it won. In the case of Better Call Saul, I feel it would have stood a better chance of winning multiple Emmys in its time in the past, and now, if it were on a different network. If it were either an HBO or Apple TV+ Original, for example, it would be receiving much more recognition. Whether people believe and accept it or not, it factors as to which network your show originally airs on. Again, not taking anything away from Succession. It's a richly-made, excellent, world class piece of artwork that exists once in a lifetime. And I'm glad it existed in mine. Congratulations to Jesse Armstrong and the entire team for the win.

Honestly, watching this back now made me realise just what an amazing year this was for television... Better call saul and succession are both two of the best shows i've ever watched in my life. As of writing this, only the first season of severance is released, but it's possibly my favourite first season of a show i've ever seen and was absolutely amazing. Euphoria took the world by storm, and squid game and Stranger things literally completely broke the internet. I havent seen Ozark or Yellowjackets, but im sure they were both also amazing. Most of these shows would win any other year. 2022, what an incredible slate of TV shows.

Glad to see the television academy continues to not even watch Better Call Saul (many Emmy voters have admitted in the past they had never even seen it before voting). Having seen all of the main contenders, look - I like Succession and Ozark, but they are silly compared to BCS. It has achieved levels of art that most of us didn’t know television was capable of. We still have next year for the back of Season 6, but I am not optimistic.
