I've lived this song with my husband and my kids... I tried so hard to make him happy. But he wanted other women. I got sick after my son was born, I had a bad infection from my pregnancy. Eventually my husband left me, my 2 year old, and my baby. we lived in motels for a while. The pain... the pain was unbearable. Not just for me, but for my babies. It was so incredibly hard to get by while still sick. It's been 2 years since then and we never saw him again... last thing he told me was that he never loved me, hated me and wished I was dead... so when I hear this song, I am overwhelmed with emotions. She is such an amazing singer. This was also the best reaction. I appreciate your honesty in everything you said. I love your vids.

Bengta Hoffman Most men know better but I can't explain just what causes a man to fail. As he listened I felt the tears coming knowing what her face looked like when she found out about his cheating. The pain the discomfort written all over the whole being to know I did this! It brought me to tears. Not because she left me not because she doesn't love me but because I hurt her this bad and I could never truly understand how bad I hurt her either even looking at what I had done. Honestly, it wasn't because I didn't care because I loved her in my heart I did I don't know why I did it I just did and I wish with all that I am that I could say I've never done that. She's still with me I was a kid then 17 when this happens and I can say I've spent every moment since trying my hardest to prove I'm better than that to her. We are both 60 years old and I love her more as each day goes by more and more. All these years I put her first in all we have had together I look over at her and it still hurts me inside to know I ever caused her this kind of pain. I hate thinking about it but I love these kinda artist that cause me to look at what I did wrong again to feel the tears she shed.im so sorry I ever hurt my love

my first time on your channel and i loved every second of this video, being a 14 year old black male growing up this generation your taught that you have to bottle up your emotions and keep it pushing because no one is ever going to do anything for you etc, watching this video, listening to your words of wisdom and this song made me realize that in order to truly love somebody and be with them you have to vulnerable to that person in a relationship you cant expect to do everything and go through everything by yourself🤦🏾♂️

Yebba is one in a million. She took her pain and turned it into a witness.. I swear. I know most of this pain was actually from her losing a momma within a week of performing this. She has a gift with her vocals, a song she dedicated to her momma is “Evergreen” an original. My favorites are “Gravity” a duet with Clark Beckham and “Smoke” by Luke Levenson and Abbey Smith (Yebba) They are feel good take ya to church and back to the good ol days kinda songs. Once again I want to thank you for your reactions! You are real and I respect the hell outa you for that!! We are all just trying to do better and be better than we were before. That’s what makes a good man or woman. I fall flat on my face trying to be the woman I pray to be, but I’m still trying. You made my night/morning!! Hope today is a great day 🙏🏼

I'm so glad you found Yebba! I found her about a year and a half ago and I was just captivated by her. Her real name is Abbey Smith but her Mom, who committed suicide about a week after this performance, called her Yebba so she uses it as her stage name. She has a bunc of fantastic collaborations. I think her best known is covering Gravity with Clark Beckham - kzbin.info/www/bejne/l2q9kJmqpM-ohZY There is Smoke with Luke Levenson - kzbin.info/www/bejne/q3OalZdqlr1pj9U Best Part of Me with Ed Sheeran - kzbin.info/www/bejne/rXjcmZJraMqWnck A new song with Mark Ronson - kzbin.info/www/bejne/fIK3YpqMgrqgmtk and she won a grammy last year for her work with PJ Morton on his cover of How Deep is Your Love - kzbin.info/www/bejne/aHecoX9ma652bs0 She has written two songs for her Mom, Evergreen - kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZqeVn5uDhtKhqqc and Were Do You Gohttps - //kzbin.info/www/bejne/qWfVd4SGetRlqqs I don't care if you 'react' to any of these but if you enjoy Yebba I thought you might appreciate someone sharing what they've found so you can share in her massive talent. You can also find video of her singing backup for Chance the Rapper on SNL a couple years ago when he sang Same Drugs. facebook.com/watch/?v=10154776123166303 I'm obviously anxiously awaiting her first album. Also, so glad you found Avi Kaplan. He's astonishing. You can find some amazing things from him under his solo stuff but also under Avriel and the Sequoias. I was lucky enough to see him on his small solo tour this past summer when he came to Boston and it was an amazing show. His song Quarter Past Four was one that brought me to tears when I heard him sing it live. Not sure if you've ever heard of a man named Marc Broussard but I have a suspicion you might enjoy him as well. His song 'Home' kzbin.info/www/bejne/fKa6gaabmsyUgdk is a good one but you can't really go wrong with any of his songs on his channel. I've enjoyed watching you discover so many talents that I also admire and enjoy. It's almost as good as getting to experience it all for the first time again!

Yebba ripped out her heart & soul out & left it bleeding on the stage on this performance. I could hear the pain. It was like the aftermath of a horrible car wreck that you just have look at when driving by. I don't understand how the ones who we love & claim to love us can be so cruel as to lie & betray. What is so difficult about faithfulness & fidelity in relationships?

Thanks for your honesty as you reacted to Yebba. It is truly amazing what this song and her performance does to you each and every time you watch it. She pulled out of you what you know you have done wrong in the past and how you want to be, you need to be a better man...that's goes for all of us. At the end when she says "that's that one" it's like she said...I went through it, I ached and hurt...I gave it up and out and I am moving on. WOW Blessings to all. Love each other the best you can every day.

I think it would be awesome if you reacted to "Larry Freestyle to Yebba My Mind", he is half of an amazing dance duo & he danced to this in London last year in Piccadilly Circus & even Yebba saw it and was moved by it. His level of musicality is INSANE! ❤

Two years since the last comment on this video so I’m not sure you’ll see my comment… but if you do… kudos for being the man who calls it out for all the men who know they’ve caused the pain for a woman that Yebba is singing about here! I have seen countless reactions to this song and landed on yours and truly appreciate your honesty and transparency. Every now and again a singer transcends the normal definition of a ‘great song’ and writes a song that not only expresses emotion but EVOKES emotion to the nth degree… this song is one of those, and your reaction video did it justice and paid deserved tribute to it!

I have watched sooooo many reactions to this song, and your is in my top 5. First, I so appreciate that after you pause to comment, you do a healthy rewind. Thank you for this reaction. I’ve been where she is. It’s nice to hear the truth from you. What men don’t seem to understand is that you do lose. When she sang, I sure won’t stay but I’ll be damned if I ever leave, I interpreted that as I will shut down my love and feeling so you can’t take them , but your not getting rid of me. That’s what I had to do to raise my child and two stepdaughters. I’d already lost him, I couldn’t lose my girls.i

As a man , I am glad you were honest about cheating and what a waste it was , for you and the one you hurt . It goes both ways , women do the same thing , and they should feel like shit when they realize the other person is just using them . I will never fully trust another person besides my 1 brother (I have 3 others I can't trust ) . I have been betrayed by a woman I almost asked to marry me , it was the worst feeling in the world , but I am glad I found out prior to asking for her hand . I also was betrayed by a very close family friend I knew for over 25 years , over a small amount of money , and I just cant understand how anyone could ever truly trust another human 100% after that , I know I cant . As for Yebba , wow , this lady has it all , so passionate , and such a beautiful voice and soul .

Awesome reaction, Syd!!! I normally bug you about reacting to more Courtney Hadwin (PLEASE don't forget to react to her only original ever sang in public, "Pretty Little Thing"). However, you've come across another GREAT singer, Abbey Smith. Unfortunately, her mom had mental issues and committed suicide a few years ago. Her mom's pet name for Abbey was her name, spelled backward, Yebba. After her mom's death, she adopted Yebba as her stage name. She gave away this song, "My Mind" for free on her web site, in honor of her mother. This song shocked me (in a good way) about a year, or so, ago. There's one more song you should do of her's, "Gravity" by John Mayer which is a duet between her and Clark Beckham. The saying, "They take you to Church, and back" is VERY appropriate with this cover. Halfway through this song, you'll be wanting to clap along with the song, Church-style, You will again, be impressed with her voice (and Clark Beckham's voice) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/l2q9kJmqpM-ohZY

I love YEBBA- which is her name spelled backwards, Abbey. You can hear her pain and crying piece through every word. You should look up more songs from her. I came here bc I’m a pentaholic but wondering if you could react to Sara Bareillis singing “She Used to Be Mine” live in the Today Show? She wrote the score for the musical Waitress, and this is probably the most popular sing from it. I can’t listen to it without tearing up. Interestingly, she is one of the judges on The Sing-Off which I believe you said you will be reacting to for pentatonix. She’s had numerous hits but is probably one of the most under rated singer/song writer and pianist. I think you’ll love it. And I see you’re a Pats fan, which obviously means you have great taste
