It was fun when this came out because it was different from their usual. One of their strengths, imho, is that they continue to experiment and stretch themselves. A little thing you might appreciate is that they always put the name of the original artist and song before they name themselves. Much respect.

Yes! HF meets the Temps!! I love this song & video! Keith Urban gave them a shout-out too. So cool! I was waiting for that growl note & you did NOT disappoint!! 😄 I love the choreo move on that note as well. I'm so glad you mentioned the production aspect. So many people complain that their official releases are over produced & it takes away from the true a capella nature. That's nuts!! Every artist tweaks their releases for the best possible sound recording; why can't a capella do that?? As long as it sounds as good live, who cares? And it does! There's very little that ever seems missing in their live performances. Darren Rust, their producer, also has a band. They sing both, a capella, & with an instrumental background. They're really good too (The Blenders). Darren shows up in a few of HF's videos; God Blessed Texas, Aud Lang Syne, & most of all in, Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer. He's a great producer (esp for a capella since he knows it so well). Thx so much for the reaction. I had another huge smile thru it!!

Home Free From the Vault Episode 10 shows their choreographer Kristin Denehy putting them through their paces learning the dance steps for this video. I recommend the series which can be described as the camera behind the camera since it often shows their cameraman and their director during the filming of what is in their videos. They're scheduled to be released the first Monday of every month (although that's often skipped) and number 23 just dropped a few days ago.
@annemayseyfried89075 жыл бұрын
They've always been amazing arrangers, but the "6th" HF member producer Darren Rust has helped them arrange more the last 2-3 yrs, cuz they're touring globally, so HF doesn't have as much time.. This song is 🔥🔥🔥, Rob's sweet tenor, Adam's crazy bboxing & Tim's insane bass line =💜💜
@sherrismith83374 жыл бұрын
You get lots of requests for them because they're freaking awesome! LOL Another one to add to your list, if you've not already done it, is "Boondock/Fishin' In The Dark".
@rachelhurst32245 жыл бұрын
You and i did a wacky laugh at the same time which made me laugh more.... great reaction. Knowing your love of those low notes.... Tim's lowest recorded note (last i knew) was in "Sold!" I forget his name, but they consider him their 6th member, ... anyway, the guy whose name I'm forgetting, does a lot of their arrangements and also works as an ear and helps mix/produce most of their songs. He has an amazing ear and really understands how to get the beautiful blend. He's the first door they knock on in "Grandma got run over by a reindeer" and you "see him" mixing them while they are recording in the sound room on Auld Lang Syne (which will take your breath away.) Anyway. It just started snowing here in Indiana and I'd better stop goofing off and carry my groceries inside and get ready for work. Keep up the great reactions. I also really appreciate your producer take on the reactions. I know you aren't much of a Christmas guy, so here is a little off the wall Grinchy reaction request 😉 Lindsey Sterling "The Grinch " If you ever get a chance, you might enjoy some Post Modern Jukebox as well...

Loved the reaction as usual! As an engineer and producer you need to get hip to Darren Rust. The man is a genius. "How Great Thou Art" was a Darren Rust arrangement. He is at the console in their stunning "Auld Lang Syne" video. Home Free often introduces him as their sixth member. Check him out on stage with his group The Blenders doing the heavy vocal and writing lifting on "Lean On Me" (kzbin.info/www/bejne/b6HTo4WMlLKEgNE) and an incredible version of "I Wonder As I Wander" (kzbin.info/www/bejne/mmLNqKqhqMeHgtU). His writing is impeccable and his engineering is some of the purest, cleanest, and truest anywhere. I know you're swamped. Take your time. I've said many times I've never begrudged a busy musician in my life. I've envied a few but never begrudged! Bottom line -- be true to what honors you. We're here when you are ready. Blessings.

I love their cover of this song but I would really like for you to react to Keith Urban doing this song, there is also a video of him singing this to one of his fans that were in the hospital (hospice) and could not go to his concert. Yea that one was epic lol and yea, I know what you mean. I often wonder what all I'm gonna be able to do. I come from a one horse town that pretty much only cares about football.There were no private lessons near me, nor would my mom have had the money for them, so aside from a good band director, and some music based stuff I got in college, I taught myself or, just recently, I got from watching vocal coach reactions to Home Free and other really awesome singers.
