I was mostly disturbed with this ending, but when Clear started crying it was PAINFUL. It's like the real Clear is hidden away inside and trying to break out. Clear would have never done this to Aoba. :( And it hurt him to see Aoba in these conditions due to him. UGH. THIS FUCKING GAME.

I know the feeling. My dad died the same day I beat the game. Thought since I was near the end, I'd go for the good ending. To cheer me up since I was left by myself... I ended up crying so much. I also started listening to his Jellyfish song from the anime... Strangely enough... It got me through that difficult time. The character is very important to me because of those.

Clear's bad ending is solely Aoba to blame. The two choices you receive are AOBA'S choices alone. If you choose one of the choices it gives you, you are giving Clear the sense of UPPER-POWER or CONTROL. Clear is one who favors the idea of free will, and being human. By choosing an option, you are placing yourself as someone who controls Clear, much like Toue. He looses his strong sense of ambition he has to protect Aoba in that moment, he feels like a machine. You have to let Clear choose, with his own free will. Otherwise, he will falter, and Aoba has damned himself as well as Clear. His ending has a very strong development, and when you actual find in-depth information. You can really see how much a choice can destroy someone. Aha, sorry. I find Clear a very beautiful character. 🤐

DAMMIT CLEAR This ending fucking ruined me, more on a psychological level than anything. ESPECIALLY in Re:connect. In the first game, Ren's ending shocked me the most. Koujaku's ending I found pretty bittersweet, because him and Aoba were still together. But they weren't together the way they wanted to be. Noiz's ending was pretty sad too, but it didn't really affect me much. Mink's ending was the second-most-shocking. Seeing Aoba's head decapitated like that made me want to close my computer and rethink my life. CLEAR'S ending though. Jesus fucking christ. I couldn't take it. Seeing Clear not be the sweet and precious Clear that I know really, really affected me in more ways than one. I couldn't help but think "what if someone I cared about turned out to be someone else?" You know what I mean? AND EVEN IN CLEAR'S GOOD ENDING, IT'S FUCKING SAD. In Re:connect though all the bad endings made me sob. SOB. They went into too much detail there. Clear's was still the worst though. It's basically psychological horror to me.

I don't care what he was going through, Aoba is a really compliant person if he understands the feelings and reasons behind something, there's no reason to be an absolute asshole to him. And he never apologised, and left AOBA feeling like the bad person.

I think the translation is probably "Always You". "sie" is a plural form in German, yes, but when capitalized it's the formal form of "you" (whereas "du" is the informal version of "you"). And it's most likely the formal form of "you" because Clear always called Aoba "Master", something very formal.

Just think about it. Clear was reprogrammed and turned back into his old self. And since he couldn't become completely human, he stripped Aoba of his freedom and human traits, to make him more like Clear. He removed his eyes, arms, and legs. And kept him locked up. How messed up is that? I apologise for these super long essay length comments, but I just had to get my point across! In conclusion, Clear's bad end is horrible, enough said!

Clear's route was the one that fucked me up the most. I cried like a baby on his good end and there was the bad one. Like, not even Virus and Trip's ending (which I hated) made my stomach turn as much as his bad ending. All I thought while I played this was 'No, stop, this is not my clear'. In the ending they only showed his legs, vocal cords, eyes replaced, and they also mentioned his arms were next. But i think they'll continue to replace every part of him until his "flesh" is no longer there so he can't rot and will continue to live forever with Clear

Clear's bad end on reconnect made me tear up, and not in a good way. It affected me the most out of all of them. Koujaku's, I was like "Wtf? Urgh, this is weird and disgusting, I'm skipping the sex scene..." Noiz, I was pretty unfazed 😓, Mink, "Wtf?!?", Ren "So gruesome, but still not affected as much", and Virus and Trips was just disgusting and sad. But Clear's end was a lot more phychological. A lot of the others were just shockers, but this one... urgh... hard to describe. I have a relatively strong stomach for gore, but this kind of thing, eh, no...

Another amazing song for bad end from Ito Kanako. Her songs capture the emotion so well. "Tears " is another amazing one. I think she captures the emotion so well somehow, because some of the other bad endings have kind of a 'dancing' feel to them (they are still great though!). But these two really make me sad, I can see and hear the tragedy that's happening behind. The fact that some of the lines don't have a clear rythm, that the song doesn't have a repetative pace, It all says someting, it's great

hearing this song always makes me a lil nauseous remembering what happened in his bad route. It's a shitty situation overall, but the worst thing, I feel, is that it was YOUR choice. You, as the player, could've chosen to simply not choose any of the bubbles, or even just reset to get the good ending. But no, you CHOSE to sit through the entire ending and watch it play out. You CHOSE the world where Clear is reprogrammed into what he becomes. The game knows that, and it DRILLS THAT INTO YOUR HEAD. YOU chose to make them suffer, and that fucks me up so much that I've refused to revisit his bad ending ever since playing it. Even thinking about it makes me tear up a little bit man. The writers on DMMD are spectacular, but goddamn they can be monsters sometimes.

I think it'd probably be "Always You" because sie is a plural form, yes, but when capitalized it's the formal form of "you" (whereas "du" is the informal version of "you"). And it's most likely the formal form of "you" because Clear always called Aoba "Master", something very formal.

when i reach clear's bad end, my heart pounded like crazy, like i was really devastasted by the way CLear turned out to be, and i got scared and obssessed with this song. Took me 1 week to listen to it again on the internet But , the good end was so amazingly touching that i cried while clicking the mouse to let the story went on. I love the feelings that both endings gave me, it's like i was in the story ; A ;. To me, clear's bad end is the worst and also the best ; v ;

Well from what we know from the reconnect expansion explanation yeah it was toue reprogramming that warped him but adding on his love for aoba is what made him want to do this to him. Though that love for aoba is also made this so tragic for him,.

now imagine it’s the first end you got playing DMMd, at the age of 15, alone in your room at 2 am. that’s basically what i lived. i cried ALL night about this. clear was trapped, and he clearly didn’t want to do this to aoba. and the meaning behind the choices… ugh i love this game so much.

I got Clear's good ending on the first try - quickly went to grab food, return and see that two choice bubbles started to shatter. so I got curious and decided to see what happens next and voila. I always finish bad ends first (yeah for some reason I thought that not choosing anything would lead to the bad end), so I quick saved midway when it was CLEAR where it's all going and... DA FEELS. Clear's route was my second one (after Noiz) but even after completing them all I still think his bad end was the best. it was the only ending I CRIED on and this song had a big impact on how emotional it was. just. the. best. edit. aaaand I just wanted to add that the lyrics fit the overal theme and atmosphere to a T, really

This was my first ending... :( I realized my mistake by the last choice. I got really stressed out and picked one of the choice even though I didn't like both of them. But I tought I would get the bad ending if i didn't pick fast. I am so stupid but then I got his good ending and they had seeeex!! Yeeeees XD But also Clears good ending was so sad but I got happy at the end

I feel kinda sorry for the people who got this end accidentally djsksksjsjs,, I played with a guide so I didnt have that issue lol. But in his bad end in the orginal game I never understood one thing. I didnt understand why Aoba picking one of the options would make any difference in whether Clear would be able to sing that song without breaking down or not, so I just chalked it up to 'they wanted a twist in how u get the good end or coincidence or smthn'. But while playing re:connect it hit me. When Clear mentioned something along the lines of "Even though I destroyed the key lock it wasnt enough" in the extended bad end, that was when I fucking realised: Aoba telling Clear what to do instead of letting him choose himself ACTIVELY messed with his function that doesnt let him attack his brothers and his master, because it reinforced that Clear isnt human. It takes that choice from him. THATS why he breaks down. By telling Clear what hes supposed to do Aoba compromised Clear's autonomy and thats why the remnants of the keylocks activate and break him down due to his attempt at disabling the Alphas. At least I think thats what it is. I dont rlly know? This might be something really obvious to other people djssklsksjs
