Great tutorial but when placing your synth in a rack, it may be better to choose an instrument rack from the generator menu. (Press the + sign like you’re adding a module and select instrument rack). Otherwise, when you use the hamburger menu on the upper left and choosing “new”, you are starting a new project and will lose anything else you may have made. That menu is for projects.

Once you start o make patches and synths in Drambo, it becomes easier to start experimenting with more of the interesting modules that come with it, you’re pretty much only limited by how good a programmer you may be, it’s a great App that deserves exploring 😊

Very useful 101 tutorial- thanks. I think where I’ve slipped up in the past is treating it as like hardware modular, where you would almost invariably start with a clock source and everything flowing from that. Connecting stuff still seems pretty arbitrary, but I’ll watch it again and try to spot what I’ve missed…

Thanks Wal, I made the video in response to your comment yesterday, so this one’s for you. I’m sure you could master Drambo, it has a lot of the same kind of module you are already familiar with, plus it has clock source modules too. Anyway, I’m happy you enjoyed it and found it a bit helpful.

Fabulous tutorial Doug and *now* I’m getting off the fence with Drambo. It is freekin’ deep. The only off putting thing is the Gadget style composition layout but I’ll try to rewire my aging brain. Cheers. Lee

Yes, once you get your head around that you’ll be golden. And, yes, Drambo can be as deep as you like, or as simple. If you can think it, you can probably build it in Drambo, that’s the beauty of modular😊

Hi Teddy, yes, you can replicate pretty much any synth you want if you have the time and skills, it’s a very powerful synth
