Drangsal LIVE, Cardinal Sessions Festival - FULL SHOW

Drangsal is a german songwriter who released two brillant records and is on his way to release the third - we loved his music and his band from the beginning; the first record being very 80s and New-Wave, the second in german, catchy and clever, so we were more than happy to have him play Cardinal Sessions Festival in a sold-out church in Cologne.

Cardinal Sessions was founded in the summer of 2010. They challenge the classic music video and try to replace impersonal footage with immediate and emotional snapshots.
Bands from all over the world with their different genres present their songs reduced to the essence of the musical spectrum - only vocals and unplugged instruments. Due to the spontaneous live-aspect and the approach to record every song without any additional rehearsal, songs emerge that often sound significantly different to their album versions.
We film on locations that the musicians mostly choose by themselves: remote places, frequented streets, parks, woods, fields, bars; nothing is impossible. We have accomplished our goal if the location fits well to the background of the music we and the artists want to present. But our most important purpose is that there are no borders: we film everything that we like, no matter how popular, famous or also unknown a band might be. It is still important for us to support local talents and it will always stay part of our concept.
The Cardinal Sessions team can also be booked: for example to film short documentaries of album recordings, studio recordings or live concert moments that you want to capture.

Als mein Vater vor zwei Jahren nachm Schlaganfall 6 Wochen im Koma lag und nur klar war, dass er - falls er aufwacht - zum starken Pflegefall wird, bin ich zufällig auf Drangsal und den "Mit Verachtung" Podcast gestoßen. Ich weiß gar nicht genau wieso, aber die Musik zu suchten hat mir extrem geholfen und "Keine Angst" mit Casper wurde sowas wie die Hymne dieser Zeit. Beim Podcastgefasel musste endlich mal vor Lachen und nicht nur aus endloser Traurigkeit weinen. Das war sehr nice. Danke dafür, danke hierfür.

Ach du meine Güte!!! Hätte gar nicht mehr gedacht in den Genuss der Drangsal Cardinal Session zu kommen. Wie unglaublich gut die drei das gemacht haben. Besonders das Lied "Zur blauen Stunde" war so schön inszeniert. Hat richtig berührt das ganze Konzert. Danke dafür. Richtig richtig großartig!!!

Hab Drangsal damals zu Harieschaim-Zeiteb zum ersten Mal live gesehen und ich finde es einfach unfassbar krass, wie er sich weiterentwickelt hat. Freu mich auf alle die schönen Momente, die uns dieser tolle Künstler noch bescheren wird ❤️
