Thank you so much for making this video. I took draping courses before, but i’m always so afraid that i’m doing things wrong. Watching this vid gave me the confidence i needed to just keep practicing and accept that mistakes need to be made to learn. Everything was all so beautifully explained. Thank you for your help and inspiration ❤️

I love love love. Also as I started experimenting volumes and oversize and drop shoulder silhouettes, I often am confused as the balance will be off or at least hard to keep it at a perfect horizontal level as a fitted silhouette. Any advice on what are some key guides to look for? Thanks so much for creating content for the world!!

The way you have explained the whole process, the philosophy behind draping in relation to the body , I couldn’t have learnt any better way, thank you for sharing this video, looking forward to more videos on garment construction.

would you be able to link or recommend pattern making and draping books on the next video?
@ianalife4 жыл бұрын
I would strongly recommend you Metric Pattern Cutting for Women's Wear by Winifred Aldrich (I'm currently studying it, and the metric system works the best for me). For imperial system I've heard a lot of recommendations about this one www.bookdepository.com/Patternmaking-for-Fashion-Design-Helen-Joseph-Armstrong/9780136069348

Yeah, I really wanted to ask for the same thing :))) or maybe show us your favourite design and pattern making books (from beginner to advanced), it would be awesome !

Your video's are excellent, practical in every way, thought provoking in that one is encouraged to think through the steps/process in order to provide quality pieces, like you've demonstrated in this video. Fabulous.

If you have not been told before, I want you to know that you are a God send. I was in class the whole time and wrote down every detail. I bought my manniquin but have no idea how to drape but you my friend, just boost my confidence and for that, I am truly grateful to you. Thank God for allowing our path to cross through this medium. May God bless you and all those connected to you in Jesus' name, 🙏

Thank you for the tips. It’s hard for me to drape, I get frustrated to easily. I want it to look a certain way and it doesn’t.
