zawzero Because it randomly doesn't get stuck at 95% for a full minute and just loads in a matter of seconds. If you check on Steam, I am far from the only person with this issue. You don't need an SSD to consistently get decent load times, because most people do.

I'm running this game off a 7200rpm HDD and my load times are just a few seconds longer than in the video. Load times aren't limited by just hard drive, it also helps a whole lot having an overclocked 4790K lol The processor is taking the data from the hard drive and building the whole level, so its effect on load times is huge as well.

@CCBrown928 жыл бұрын
That is actually precisely what happens over at speeddemosarchive, speedrunslive, twitch and other speedrunning sites. Most games that can be glitched during a speedrun (i.e. it won't crash the game), also feature a "Glitchless" category. Glitching mostly means manipulating the game in a way that was clearly not intended, while skipping items/areas is simply known as Sequence Breaking - which is generally allowed/encouraged. Many viewers are bound to not realise that categories even exist, and falsely assume that glitching or exploits is the only viable form of speedrunning. It is simply a category, and there will be other speedrunners doing glitchless runs. On the off chance there is no glitchless category for the game you want to view or speedrun, then create that category. Be the first! It's just games, and we're meant to enjoy them, after all :) ((Just gonna leave this here from a thread on reddit on the subject of exploits in speedruns.))

Guys it's going to far... Right now there are more comments complaining about people not knowing what a fucking speed run is than actual comments saying that speed running take no skill or some shit like that. Guys come on most of these people that claim that speed running takes no skill are trolling and if they aren't they literally can't read, it's in the name guys now stop complaining.

I beat ultra nightmare and never aimed a single shot at an enemy because i used the remote detonator on the rocket launcher, lol. It takes me about three hours to finish the whole thing though, so not close to the world record. I've only put 40 hours into finishing it, though.

This is so cool! The amount of time poured into a game to memorize where everything necessary is located and what to do is incredible! I enjoy taking games slowly and relishing it but, I have mad respect for those who can burn through any game in about an hour! Again, totally wicked!

The speedrunning community is one of the most dogshit, toxic and cancerous communities out there. If speedruns weren't so fun to watch then this whole "community" could go fuck itself.

certain games like LEFT 4 DEAD 2 do NOT mix with them kids speed running and getting themselves killed leaving the team to pick up the slack. Speed running in a 1 player game... ok.. but in most of the real pvp games speed runners ruin everything! for the team that is

What gets me is how everyone gets so butthurt when someone else doesn't agree with their opinion, there's so many immature people in this comment section, grow up and get a life and stop calling people "little faggots" just because you have nothing else better to do. My opinion on this speedrun? I don't agree with the use of glitches, I enjoy speedruns where they play through the whole thing without using a glitch to their advantage, but at the same time I have respect for this guy, he did something I could not do, it's definitely outside my skill as a gamer and that deserves respect. Anything like this takes a lot of time, practice and skill, kudos to you DraQu.

Agreed, shouldn't speak like that if he's basically cheating through bunch of levels too. Regardless this is impressive.
@pfcskibs8 жыл бұрын
I agree the guys a bit arrogant but, I would argue that nothing in this video could be considered cheating. Using weapon blowback to boost yourself is a common trick in a lot of games and climbing out of levels to create shortcuts is a fault in the game. If someone decides to exploit that weakness well that's just the means to an end in order to win. Not saying I agree with it 100% and I would of preferred to see him traverse the game like the rest of us but, he found a way around it, what can I say?
@MisterBones29108 жыл бұрын

@AlwaysSomethingHorrible8 жыл бұрын
True, but going through the game without abusing any glitches or anything against the intent of the creators of the game, it is incredibly difficult. Calling a game "easy" when you use something against what it originally was is a bad mannerism and incredibly nearsighted.

Idiots that don't understand the concept of an any% speed-run, and are pissy about the fact that he "cheats" by going out of bounds and skipping portions of the game.
@welshman1008 жыл бұрын
Well its saying "I completed this game soo fast" - oh but you didnt actually play most of the game. So imo its not the game your beating but a fraction of it. So in my book it doesnt count as a full run.
@MrRobin398 жыл бұрын
Scrimjaw "So in my book it doesnt count as a full run." Hey look, yet another person who knows absolutely nothing about speedrunning! The any% category literally means that you can complete any percentage of the game and it will still count, just as long as you can get to the title screen. The world record time for super mario is just 37 seconds, because someone figured out how to edit the assembly code in-game and trigger the end screen credits immediately. The reason this category is so popular is because finding and taking advantage of these out of bounds style exploits takes far more creativity and skill than simply mastering the basic mechanics (which he clearly has mastered, seeing how fast he can kill everything). Occasionally the end result might be confusing or ugly looking to a layperson not versed in the mechanics used, but someone with a basic knowledge of speed-running can generally recognize what's going on. If you want to see a full run without weird glitching, look up a glitchless run. Glitchless runs are generally much longer and, in my opinion, far more boring, but they seem to be what you want. They also exist in their own category, so there is a separate world record time for a glitchless run of DOOM 2016 out there somewhere.

So I beat this on "Nightmare MMode " I musta died over 200+ times. (Videos on my channel) however I will say this. I played it/beat it on PS4.
