A very interesting talk. Pars Fortuna is known as punya saham in Taijika astrology. Interesting thing I noticed about this special point is that most people, whose charts I was looking at, have met their Satguru, their spiritual master, exactly during such a year in Bhrigu Chakra connected to the house occupied by punya saham.

The problem I have seen with Pars Fortuna technique is that of it is a borrowed concept from Western astrology and cannot be applied in Vedic (sidereal versus tropical) due to difference in degrees and ayanamsha.

An astounding predicitive result which I would like to point out and share with other viewers is that Donald Trump, who has his individual Pars Fortuna in Dhanishta Nakshatra, had his Moon transiting over Dhanishta on 8 November, the day of the US Presidential Election! The date of 8 November and 9 November, a day after the Moon transit, must rank as the 2 most significant days of Donald Trump's life. A quick question to both Dr. Pai and Mr. Ram is how is the Bhrigu Bindu, another important destiny point, different qualitatively from the Pars Fortuna? Your insights as always will be much appreciated.

While I am not expert on the subject, my opinion is as follows: Bhrigu Bindu shows the destiny of the native - what the native was born to achieve - the objective of the native's birth. While Pars Fortuna shows points in time when the native will get a lift in career or fortune. In the case of the President Elect, Donald Trump - the Bhrigu Bindu is in Uttara Phalguni. The Lord of Uttara Phalguni is the Sun. The Sun represents the Government. The Sun in in the 10H of governance. The 10H is also for giving orders which needs to be obeyed. Sun in in Mrigashira which indicates movement from place to place, changing decisions. The Lord of Mrigashira is Mars which is posited in Magha - the King of the Pitris the nakshatra of rulers and CEO's - the one who orders but does not take orders. So in a somewhat simplistic manner it may be stated that what is signified by the Bhrigu Bindu is your goal and the Pars Fortuna pays a supporting role in helping you reach those goals.

Sir..pars fortuna is creating point to luck with asc, sun & moon..means a point of time of great peace in thoughts,actions and emotions to create the reality in hand....Same as in eclipse times or new moon time.. MEANS must work on new moon days to give complete liberation to ancestors as well as on sun eclipse time to make your prayers all round successful..bcs on these days sun and moon having equal degrees and all ascendant degrees will be with pars fortuna point..and if rituals are done having trine with natal pars fortuna point with amavasya moon or sun eclipse day point..to create an alignment for liberation of our ancestors and others wished realities in hand..and if aspect ed by jupiter or venus this trine..it must be an excellent ..it's all my suggestions striking from this video..if you can confirm my idea..so nice of you both of you..love you both..and thanks a lot to share and to remind.

During the Moon's transit through the various Nakshatra's on daily basis - it activates the Karakatwas of that Nakshatra. For example, Moon is transiting via Ashwini today (10/December/2016). If you analyse your day today you may or will find that topics like medicine, treatment, travel, twin, or the number 2 playing an important part of your day till the Moon is in Ashwini. Further, the transit of the Moon in Ashwini will also activate the opposite Nakshatras - Chitra and Swati. You may also find that in addition to Ashwini you may also see the signatures of Chitra and Swati during the course of the Ashwini day! Trust this clarifies. Best wishes

Thank you Mr Bharat Ram for such an enlightening lecture. One small question.....I have my Pars Fortuna on Hasta nakshatra in the 12th house. Given that 12th house governs expenditures can you throw some light on how this can be used to enhance the fortune?

For one, a reduction in expenditure is an enhancement of fortune! Also an expenditure can be toward a reduction of debts or repayment of loans. That apart, the transit of planets via Pars Fortuna in the 12H can lead to reduced worries, reduced or no fear from foes, a treatment to the left eye, sound sleep, a change (the 12H is the house of change) for the better. See where the Lord of Hasta - the Moon - is placed. There may be gains via the house or the Nakshatra where the Moon is placed. The best way would be to see what happened that last time a planet transited via your Pars Fortuna. Best wishes.

I'll clarify this on behalf of Dr. Pai. Now (26 November, 2016) Jupiter is at 21 degrees 57 minutes in Virgo. Now wait for the Lagna (Ascendant) to move to 21 degrees 57 minutes Taurus. When the Lagna moves to 21 degrees 57 minutes in Taurus the Lagna will be exactly in trine (Jupiter will be 5 houses away from the Lagna) with Jupiter. Similarly, when the Lagna moves to 21 degrees 57 minutes in Capricorn (Makara) it will be trine to Jupiter ie. Jupiter will be 9 houses from the Lagna. Apply this to Venus too. Trust this clarifies

Whoever natal Planet is on " Paras Fortuna" point, Ok, will be rising star , at least for the period in MD/AD/PD. But those do not , "Paras Fortuna" Nakshatra , whenever appear during transit period, will be the rising time ? Whether It will be limited that period only or it will activate the NL house? It does not matter whether or not there is a planet in Pars Fortuna (Ardra in your example). When Jupiter, Saturn, Rahu, Ketu or any other planet (including the transit Lagna) moves through the Nakshatra in which Pars Fortuna is placed there is some commercially beneficial event in the native's life. Of course when the Moon transits (of if any fast moving planet transits from here) the beneficial event may be of lesser importance. When a slow moving planet transits via here (Saturn/Jupiter/Rahu/Ketu) the event may be more concrete and visible. Trust this clarifies

Claudius Ptolemy ( c. AD 100 - c. 170) was a Greco Egyptian Mathematician, Astronomer and Astrologer who first wrote about Pars Fortuna. Later western astrologers like Robert Hand did research on Ptolemy's writings and discovered more on what Ptolemy wrote on this subject. The formula is important because the Lagna is your self and this formula shows how your self is connected with your past (Moon) and the future (Sun). It is difficult to answer your question on a standalone basis. However, the 1st house is connected with your reputation and personal standing. It is also connected to your career and profession. So, when a planet transits via the Pars Fortuna in the 1st house it may lead to an improvement in these areas. However, you also need to see the position of Venus (where/in which house Venus is posited) as it is the Nakshatra lord of Purva Phalguni. Best wishes

Desh, Kaal and Patra or the native's unique position in life with respect to time, place and identity of the native is the beginning of any analysis. This has to be followed with the an understanding of all planetary placements in a chart. A stand alone analysis may lead to an inaccurate assessment. However, be that as it may, your 8H gets fortified with the placement of Pars Fortuna (PF) there. Dhanishta's Nakshatra Lord Mars will transit the Aquarius portion of Dhanishta in some days. You may benefit via a gain from the family of your spouse (if married) when this transit happens. Or, there may be gains via Real Estate. Of course, the natal placement of Mars is important. A career linked with insurance and/or Real Estate/Gym instruction or similar may be beneficial - is my guess. Best wishes

I just saw another video on Fortune Point by Mr Dharmesh Mehta, who's a Gurubhai of Shri Sunil John. However, according to his method, the calculation is always Asc + Moon - Sun regardless of when the person was born. He also relates it to a differential between (body + mind) and the Atma to calculate the luck point. Now, I see that you've spent a lot of time researching the Arabic technique and testing it out. But have you also tested it out using the Asc + Moon - Sun formula for all charts? I'd love to hear your views on this.

There are many views on Pars Fortuna. The earlier view on this was that there was only one formula to calculate Pars Fortuna whether it was a daytime birth (Ascendant + Moon-Sun) or a night-time birth. However, under Project Hindsight (www.projecthindsight.com/archives/history.html), Astrologer Robert Hand did research on this concept and refined the concept to make the formula different for a night-time birth (Ascendant+Sun-Moon).You may read: www.astro.com/info/in_fortune_e.htm . I am not competent enough to comment on Dr. Dharmesh Mehta's interpretation - he is an accomplished astrologer with serious experience in this field. However, I have followed the two formula method for some years - as this is the way I learnt it. The two formula method seems to work for me. Best wishes.

Ashok Kumar The Pars Fortuna or the Point of Fortune is a fortunate point in every horoscope. Any planet transiting via this point will bring in good luck. Fast moving planets like the Moon will give this good luck in a small dose. Slower planets like Venus and Mars may show longer lasting good luck. Check what happened the last time Venus and Mars transited via your Pars Fortuna. Even Rahu and Ketu will deliver good results around the time it transits via here. Jupiter and Saturn will give the most enduring results when they transit via here. Check what happened when Jupiter/Rahu transited via your Pars Fortuna some months back. Trust this helps. In an electional chart, as a last option scenario, Part of Fortune can also be used to make a void of course moon give good (if not muted) results -- as long as it the VOC moon's last aspect is an applying trine or conjunction to the Part of Fortune -- even a sextile will give some small positive outcome. In my practice, I've found that, overall, it's preferable to do one's best to make the final applying aspect of the moon to the POF. It also helps to see if the aspects of the electional chart are in good stead with the other Arabic Part -- the Part of Spirit = Ascendant + Sun - Moon...then the action taken will be a material manifestation of something that furthers the spiritual journey.

Even if you have no planets in Pars Fortuna it does not matter. When a planet in its transit passes via your Pars Fortuna you will get good results.

If the Sun is in the 1st house then you have to check the following : (a) Is the degrees, minutes and seconds of the Sun more than the degrees, minutes and seconds of the Ascendant (Lagna). If this is so then the Sun is below the horizon and this would be a night time birth. (b). If the degrees minutes and seconds of the Sun in the first house less than the degrees, minutes and seconds of the Lagna (Ascendant) - that is the Sun is behind the Lagna in the 1st house - then the Sun is above the horizon and this would be considered as a day time birth. Hope this clarifies your point.

So I need to check the Karakatwas of Sharavan nakshatra... Adding to it .. I got my first permanent job in Mahadasha of Rahu and Antardasha of Ketu and just after that when Venus antardasaha started I got another far better job. ( Venus placed in 9th house with Saturn & Jupiter ) Also I travelled abroad to Europe & Japan for the first time both under Chandra (moon) Antardasha. Now I am under Jupiter mahadasha and recently in November 2016 Saturn Antardasha started. And sir you are very correct last time around 24rth march 2015 , I took a big decision and shifted to Gurgaon with my wife & baby , i work in Gurgaon, My wife used to live with my parents and I was alone living in gurgaon for work..... Mr Bharat, i am confused I got my pars fortuna as cancer in ashlesha from another software, but using arabic point i got taurus at 0 degrees 35 mins. These are my numbers Lag asc :sagittarius 15deg 11mins , Moon in sagittarius 22deg 54mins and sun in taurus at 8deg 18mins. Can you please calculate the correct way, thank you.

Pars Fortuna at Taurus 0 degrees 35 minutes is correct. The other software is wrong. Do not try any other software for this.

Dear Bharat sir, I am a VP at a major tech company into Sales. Saturn is in 2nd house alone in virgo and chitra nakshatra in lagna chart. I am a leo ascendant. So the concept is if i understand - you will get results depending on the the planet transiting your pars fortuna sign/nakshatra? if badly placed planet is transiting the pars fortuna and bad effects and if a good one is transiting then better effects? You should attempt to initiate/close/ have significant meetings when the transit Lagna or the transit Moon or the transit Sun is passing over your Pars Fortuna Nakshatra.

Saturn will enter Moola and your Pars Fortuna in early February, 2017. Saturn entered Moola in its previous transit in early January, 1988. Arabic Pars Fortuna is little difference than KP Fortuna. Both in KP Reader I & II the calculation is mentioned as Asc + Moon - Sun. There is no separate calculation for night time or day time birth. Now, according to KP mine is in 12th house(Aswini) in Aries and according to Arabic its in 2nd house(Mrigsira) Gemini. Have Moon & Venus in Mrigsira but nothing in Aswini. Now,I got confused. Only one one way to solve this. I have to research on myself from now. Will check planets transit on above both starts then according to beneficial result I will decide which is best for me.

Somna6h : When KP was formulated, there was only one formula even for the Arabic Fortuna which was incorporated into KP. It was much later that research was done by Astrologer Robert Hand to have a separate formula for day and night time births - which not everyone knows or uses.

Oh! Then my Fortuna is in Gemini 3 Degree Mrigsira and its conjunct with Moon(4 Deg) & Venus(4 Deg). My 2nd Bhaba is near 6 Deg in Gemini. Desh, Kaal and Patra or the native's unique position in life with respect to time, place and identity of the native is the beginning of any analysis. This has to be followed with the an understanding of all planetary placements in a chart. A stand alone analysis may lead to an inaccurate assessment. However, be that as it may, your 8H gets fortified with the placement of Pars Fortuna (PF) there. Dhanishta's Nakshatra Lord Mars will transit the Aquarius portion of Dhanishta in some days. You may benefit via a gain from the family of your spouse (if married) when this transit happens. Or, there may be gains via Real Estate. Of course, the natal placement of Mars is important. From here we can derive pretty positive results, because Lagna Lord Jupiter for Sagittarius is in its exaltation, pretty close even to its exact uccha degree (which is 7-8 degrees). Should be auspicious for life path and matters of the 4th house. Mitigating it's auspicious results can be seen by placement of 8th Lord Moon and any malefic influences for both Jupiter and Moon. The transit for Jupiter, Mars and Sun over this point can be considered most beneficial, and thus all undertakings at that time can result in positive outcomes in the near future. Currently Mars and Venus are transiting this point. Mars is already in Ashlesha, so it's perhaps not strong anymore. Venus rules 11th house and despite being also 6th Lord should give good results, especially for being a natural benefic. The dasha and all indications of natal planets should be considered too.

If your Lagna degrees is less than 0 degrees 32 minutes in Capricorn then it is a Day Time birth. If the Lagna Degrees is more than 0 degrees 32 minutes in in Capricorn then it is a Night Time birth. Trust this clarifies.

Well, Mr. Ram 's information on choosing muhurtha for independence of India seems to be incomplete, As per Dr. Swamy, British said we may grant you independence in june 1948 if you want the whole India but if you need it in august 1947 then India will be divided. lets be honest: lagna and moon one could have found other good ones on this day also. the planets in houses are a catastrophe though at midnight and few hours later many good times for planets, moon and lagna come. our astrologers must have been made cracy by mahadev himself to choose this time. 15th midnight is a horrorscope! any even randomly chosen time would have been better. they chose the worst time possible.

You can use any system. Equal house or Placidus (KP). In KP the house (Bhava) changes. The sign (Rasi) does not change.
