Its interesting that the current approach you mention is kind of what they did with Mataneo, he is technically single hit but the summons can overcome that

They could fix a good part of the problem by changing the buffs to percentages. If Eldryon gave a +200% damage bonus, that would still benefit multi-hitters more, but turn a 5k single hit into a a scary 15k single hit.

Be nice if buffs like Ahriman and Vitruvius weren't capped so low. Then you could get that single hit damage much higher

Another thing is that with each hit you get an extra chance to proc the weapon crit.... Which makes this even more of an issue

That's not how crits are coded. If you don't crit the first then no further hits can crit.

@@MajorBorris you are correct that multi-hit characters are not more likely to get 1 crit, but they have a chance to get 2 or more crits meaning more total crits per game which means a higher average crit rate.

Make stuff like doom hit on the first hit and only once and that solves most of it.. up armor value and give single hit higher pierce so they have niche on a few higher armoured boss there is something to be done for sur3

Ye 1 hit characters that are snipers have high dmg base. And you se them only fixed up for TA and Legendary events to progres.

I agree with this....arena is broken as is.....i enjoy getting half my lineup gone by thadues noble as the game starts and celestine spam while my terminators r more crippled old people in terms of dmg an movement

What about a passive ability that increases the number of hits for single hitters. With the number of hits scaling from +1 at level 1 to +3 at level 50 and gives a significant buff to crit chance and crit damage to put it on par with eldryon/calgar. Other caveats: to compensate for rng the buff would have to be a large increase to crit chance.

Is eldryrons buffed damaged reduced by armour? One way to balance this all out is to give a raid boss like 3000 armour that would mean the multihitters do zero damage and there would be need for a 1 hitter team?

@@ryanharrison6069 multi-hit and single hit are more different with lower armor. With infinite armour both will just do whatever their pierce percentage is, but if damage exceeds armour enough then a multi-hit unit is seeing the armor reduction on every hit but a single hit is only seeing it once.

I don't see any issues with Arena... people will always find a way to complain, it is in human nature. To 'complete' Arena, you only need 50 victories, which is a massive difference from what it was before; 95 victories. Some people are too lazy to change their line-up to work better according to the enemy line-up. There is no need to change Eldryon. Just make Vitruvius the equivalent of Eldryon for 1-hitters, and then suddenly you will have a more viable 1-hit team for some Guild Raid Bosses.

Draupnir I can tell u I tried. Big Single hitters aka Godswyl even with both Thoread n Vitruvius won't cut it unless u just don't have anyone higher level for your GR team. U should consider instead the role of +1 hit units as the potential 2nd or 3rd buffer for your GR Team. There's sum strowng sinergey possibull...

Perhaps adress the cause, not the symptom. Change Doom so that there is diminish returns on multiple hits.

One small advantage single hitters have - they only have to roll for crit once, where as multi hitters must pass several sequential dice rolls to deal max damage. It’s not much… but it’s something.

I think that a way to bring this down is actually to nerf eld, make it so doom only does extra damage on critical hits it'll make the aeldari synergy stronger as they're already crit reliant but brings down the abuse from mass multi hit factions unless they trade out for more crit
