Personally dont think he really took many direct shots. Mainly was just playing to Charlie by trying to butter her up, like only time he took a direct shot at Lucifer was when he said that a birth parent can be a dud, and even then it wasnt that much of a shot as a general statement

I don't think is using her demon powers to impress her, but rather her power and skill in the field. Alastor knows he has no chance against the capabilities of lucifer himself, the dude was making so many items out of thin air, clones of himself and whatever could cross his imagination as a whole.. Alastor can do things other overlords can't and he can really make a show but even he has a limit

I mean I was expecting sm from a song from Lucifer bc of who voices him and he didn’t disappoint but only impressed me even more. I knew the songs this episode were gonna be good but Viv really said “Guys ik I gave you guys some great songs already but I’m gonna blow you away with these 2 songs”. if you watch Alastor throughout the song, he's ALWAYS looking at Charlie It's a type of manipulation; if someone is Always looking at you it can give a sense of always being looked after therefore you feel closer to them and trust them more. trust me, I went through it
