⁠@@BlackBeartic229 Dinomorphia failed to get off the ground because the deck is… bad (as someone who plays the deck.). Even if the half life gimmick didn’t exist, the deck didn’t do anything with its first wave and after Rex came out it aimed to make a skill drain that failed if your opponent has anything to interact with you.

@@thetsubamehub2139 Well yes, they had other heavy flaws as well. Perhaps i should've said even if they were a lot better their gimmick would've knocked them down a good amount due to the inability to play in time PUNK Gold Pride hybrids also are horrible in time which is why i think it's better to just play them both separately now anyways. Pure punk lines don't need nearly as much LP and have solid boards with the new support I think saying LP doesn't matter in an era where people want Spooky Dogwood banned isn't correct.

I mean there are extra benefits to running a pure variant. Namely space for non engine like hand traps or board breaker, but the additional engine can help greatly If I’m being honest kashtira and Horus may just be a better option altogether. They’re smaller as a whole and offer better extra deck options. In my opinion

I play almost pure in MD, i think in a game where maxxc exists, handtraps feels better than pure extenders. I think this extender they have now will solve my problem with punk in md. I still use a copy of that hero card. My only non-punk that isnt a handtrap, a handtrap counter or e-tele. Baronne legal in md means more omninegate for us.

Why don't you try p.u.n.k centurion. It is a nibiru proof one card combo into fiendsmith negate + Blazar + Omni Negate + Monster negate

I think that's Probably not bad, but I'd much rather play either deck pure I really dislike adding any engine to punk that you don't like just drawing into during your combo

@@dddmasterduel4749 centurion doesnt have hard bricks. But you are still adding an additional 3-4 cards that are purely engine requirement and suboptimal to draw. Thats the main annoyance with centurion.

@ true, but not every format justifies Droll, you’re not always going to open droll, and called by exists. Not to mention @ignister has plenty of handtrap space, so the rest of your hand better beat their non-engine. In other words, while big FU handtraps like Droll and Fuwalos are relevant, most games are decided by one to one handtrap interactions like Imperm, Ash, and Impulse. So being more resilient to those interactions makes a deck far stronger.

@ no thats cap its been like this since 2018 onwards is when it started going overboard until its basically used as yugioh equlivlant of high fructose corn syrup to pack products with these goon bait cards to increase sales and now its an infinite cycle: add goon bait, attract gooners, sell product, add more goon bait, attract more gooners, sell product, so now if they try to not introduce goon bait the products wouldn’t sell as well because they attracted endless gooners.

If we got a "goon" card here and there yes, but now its almost every ther CARD IS GOON BAIT, that is my point
